Adam Copeland and Christian Cage have continued their long-time association in AEW, something both consider to be a boon after so long. The two AEW stars of course came up together in the business and became an iconic tag team in WWE as Edge & Christian. When Copeland joined AEW, they quickly renewed their association, first as a rivalry and most recently as partners when they battled FTR at AEW All Out>.

Copeland and Cage have been off TV since the post-All Out episode of AEW Dynamite. They spoke with Jim Varsallone for a new interview promoting their new Plank Plus product and were asked about working together in AEW. You can see highlights below:

Cage On Working With Copeland Again:

“Put it in perspective — to be having meaningful matches, whether they’re against each other or as a team, when neither one of us thought we would have our career back at any given time. You know, you don’t take any of it for granted. Every time you walk out there, you treat it like it could be the last time because it could. And you know what it’s like to have it taken away and not have it. So you have to appreciate every moment that you’re out there. And like I said, the fact that whether we were against each other or as a team, the fact that we were doing it at a high level was was the most important.”

Copeland On Their Work Together:

“Yeah, the fact that we both thought this was done. So anything we do at this point is is bonus. Because it it wasn’t supposed to be the case, but yet here we are. So whether it’s an ‘I Quit’ match in Toronto, or whether it’s you know wrestling FTR in Toronto, or wrestling in the O2 Arena against Kip Sabian and Luchasaurus. We we both feel like the chemistry is just there. It always has been. You know, we’ve known each other since the sixth grade.”
