Sambus’ AEW All Out 2025 Review 09.20.25

Good afternoon sickos! Theo Sambus checking in to provide you with all the live coverage of AEW All Out here at 411mania. How are you all doing on this fine Saturday? It is pay-per-view day and that means we have an absolutely loaded card which was rounded out this past Wednesday at September to Remember.

The ladder match for the AEW tag titles has now been set, and we’ll see Brodido facing the Young Bucks, JetSpeed and the Don Callis Family’s Hechicero & Josh Alexander. That is an insane amount of talent in that ring so I fully expect that one to get wild from the get-go.

The Unified Championship will be defended in a three-way, as Okada takes on Konosuke Takeshita and Mascara Dorada. Even on paper that sounds awesome, but even more so considering the play for dominance that will undoubtedly come about between Okada and this year’s G1 winner Takeshita. Dorada has his work cut out for him here!

MJF will have had quite the weekend, losing to Mistico last night in a brutal match for CMLL, and tonight facing Mark Briscoe in the presumed blowoff to their feud, with a “Tables n Tacks” No DQ stipulation. I’ve really enjoyed the Briscoe/MJF interactions as of late so I’ve got high hopes for this one.

That’s all before we even touch on the main event scene, with Hangman defending the Men’s World Title against Kyle Fletcher, and Toni Storm taking on all comers in a four-way, with Thekla, Jamie Hayter & Kris Statlander challenging. I don’t see this being Fletcher’s time, so Hangman seems like a surefire winner here, but as for the Women’s title, it’s anyone’s game tonight. Thekla has massively impressed me with her presence so far, so I would not be opposed at all to her picking up the big one.

Alrighty folks, it’s almost showtime! But first, let’s check out the zero-hour Tailgate Brawl…

Location: Toronto, ON

Venue: ScotiaBank Arena

Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Bryan Danielson, Nigel McGuinness, Matt Menard & Tony Schiavone

[Saturday Tailgate Brawl]

We kick things off straight away with the in-ring action, let’s go!

The Opps (Samoa Joe & Powerhouse Hobbs) vs The WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake)

We begin with Hobbs delivering repeated body slams to Henry, much to the Toronto crowd’s delight. Eventually Drake helps pull Henry to safety and tags in, only to get slammed himself. Here comes Joe! Joe with jabs and a PK, followed by a senton to Drake. Henry hits a roaring elbow and an assisted tornado DDT to get a 1 count on Joe. Hobbs back in with a double shoulder block to the WorkHorsemen, and he hits splashes on both guys. Meat clotheslines in the corner. Joe tags in, leaping enziguri and he sits Drake on the top rope. Drake bites him to block the muscle buster, Joe is bent over and Drake dives for the leg drop but Joe nopes out of there. Spinebuster on Henry by Hobbs. Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch! Drake taps.

Winners: The Opps

Time: 5:20

Rating: ** – Pretty much an extended squash with the WorkHorsemen getting less in than their usual showings on Collision, but hey, it’s effectively a PPV appearance for them so that’s cool. The Opps smashed up some dudes and a ready for more challenges.

*As Joe and Hobbs exit, their Opps partner Shibata makes his way out.

*Daniel Garcia has new slowed-down music, fitting for his Death Riders chapter.

Daniel Garcia vs Katsuyori Shibata

Shibata with a boot to the face as the bell rings. To the outside, Shibata throws him into the barricade a few times. He sits Garcia on a chair, takes a run up but stops to catch Garcia off guard and just kicks him hard. Back in the ring, Shibata locks in a figure-four leglock. Garcia rolls to the ropes to break the hold. Garcia to the outside for a breather, but is playing opossum as he nails Shibata with a DDT out of nowhere. Daddy Magic gets out of his seat at the commentary desk to get in the face of Garcia, screaming at him, but Garcia just ignores him! Garcia places Shibata’s head in between the steel steps and the ringpost, and nails a running dropkick into the steps! Cover in the ring, Shibata kicks out.

Sliding forearm from Garcia gets a 2. Shibata dumps Garcia with a German, Danny gets right back up for a backdrop driver. German again! Running boot in the corner, Shibata with chops, lines him up for the running dropkick and gets it. Butterfly suplex, 1, 2, no. Triangle choke applied by Shibata, Garcia slides backwards and gets a foot on the ropes. To the apron they go, Garcia signals for a piledriver but Shibata reverses and hits a Death Valley Driver on the apron! Garcia with hammer and anvil elbows, Shibata with some of his own. They trade elbows back and forth, PK to the back of Garcia. Another is caught, and Garcia looks for a Boston Crab, gets it! Shibata rolls through into a kneebar. Garcia breaks it in the ropes but Shibata pulls him back to the center and locks it in again on the other leg. Shibata with his own Boston Crab now! Shibata has an Indian deathlock applied, slaps Garcia, and Garcia slaps back!

Both men to their feet, trading forearms now. Uppercut from Shibata, guillotine by Garcia! He’s learning from Moxley already! Piledriver connects. 1, 2, NO! Shibata has life left in him. 1 count kickout from another piledriver! Shibata goes for the PK but delayed selling kicks in and he drops to a knee. He shakes it off, sleeper applied! Garcia is fading. Garcia rolls into a pin attempt but gets 2. Marina Shafir up on the apon, distracts the ref and that allows Garcia to attack from behind. Piledriver once more, and Garcia nails a surfboard stomp! Garcia holds a middle finger to Shibata’s face as he covers. 1, 2, 3.

Winner: Daniel Garcia

Time: 14:46

Rating: ***1/4 – These guys always do a good job of getting in some technical exchanges, and this was no different. That built to a great finish, and I’m all in on Garcia using the surfboard stomp going forward, which looks pretty vicious. Finishes like that will get Garcia’s heel turn over in a huge way, good stuff.

*RJ City and Renee Paquette hype up the AEW/HBO Max partnership.

Hologram, Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly vs The Frat House (Griff Garrison, Preston Vance & Cole Karter)

Hologram is advertised as being from the Conglomeration, but Kyle and Roddy are shown as Paragon members. Roddy don’t want none of the Conglomeration, clearly! The Frat House attack as their opponents pose in the ring to get the early advantage. Hologram with a standing spanish fly to Garrison. He evades a suplex from Vance, knee to the face from Roddy. Tope con hilo from Hologram to clean house outside the ring. Back up top, double stomp from Hologram on Garrison gets the 1, 2, 3.

Winners: Paragon & Hologram

Time: 3:19

Rating: N/R – Squash from the Conglomeration group, even if Roddy didn’t want to do too much with Hologram.

*As we prepare for our Tailgate Brawl feature presentation, the Sisters of Sin make their way out, and Skye Blue has her trusty staple gun with her.

[8-Woman Tornado Tailgate Brawl] Harley Cameron, Mina Shirakawa, Queen Aminata, and Willow Nightingale vs Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford, Julia Hart and Skye Blue

Aminata causes a distraction by throwing a ball over the opposing team, allowing the rest of the team to pounce with a tackle. Harley’s team rip off their AEW shirts (settle down, they’re wearing stuff underneath!) but Bayne hoists Penelope on her shoulders and throws her over the ropes to take out their opponents! Willow and Bayne go at it now, trading rights. Spinebuster by Nightingale. She looks for a suplex, can’t get it, and now Ford comes in to help. Everyone in for an 8-way suplex, with Harley’s team getting the upper hand. Outside there’s a plunder table set up, and Bayne grabs a hockey stick. Ford has a spatula and starts spanking everyone with it. Aminata fights her with a ladle haha. Cameron has the staple gun and staples the chest of Blue, then one to the ass! Aminata has a punch bowl and a cowbell. Bayne with a canonball into Willow and Aminata on a chair at ringside.

Ford smacks Mina’s ass with a hockey stick. Hart and Willow tussle in the ring, Willow sits Hart on the top rope and places a cooler nearby. Blue interrupts and staples Willow’s ass, trips on a powerbomb attempt but recovers and hits the powerbomb on the cooler. 1, 2, no. Mina and Aminata strike with the coolers ass Aminata hits the Chocolate Kiss on Hart. Shirakawa with a tornillo for 2. Blue pops a trash can on top of Cameron, and they whip Shirakawa into it. Handspring back elbow from Ford into the trash can. Bayne with a body slam on Cameron, moonsault from Ford, 1, 2, no. Cameron on the shoulders of Bayne, Willow pushes Ford off the top though. Pounce to Bayne! Aminata and Mina smash a bench into Bayne. Sisters of Sin with a gourdbuster to Cameron. They get tossed into the barricade though. Mina has a barbecue! The sisters of sin have their heads trapped in it and kicked. Ford gets planted by Willow, trash can shot. Babe with the Powerbomb, 1, 2, 3.

Winners: Harley Cameron, Mina Shirakawa, Queen Aminata, and Willow Nightingale

Time: 11:28

Rating: ** – Heavy on the plunder and brawling so it had that ‘dumb fun’ vibe. Quite scatty and all over the place to be honest, but this worked fine for a pre-show.

*And now it’s time…for AEW All Out: Toronto!

*Bryan Danielson gets a full entrance to head to the commentary desk.

*We see Cage and Copeland walking through the arena earlier today, talking Toronto sports history. Wendel Clark is here and Cope loves it. Cage doesn’t say anything to Wendel Clark, and Cope can’t believe he’d ignore him. The ‘Green Bastard’ appears and it’s Bubbles. He says he has their back. Cage walks off and Cope says he’s an asshole, but he’s his asshole. I’m not a big sports guy outside of wrestling so I have no idea what that was, but the crowd loved it!

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs FTR (w/ Big Stoke)

Dax has a taped up nose after Cage broke it in the melee on Wednesday. Cage and Dax start us off, as Dax tells Cage it’s personal after breaking his nose. Dax walks over the back of Cage and Cage smacks him in the nose in retaliation! Dax bounces around the ring as Cage slingshots him into the ringpost, working the nose! Copeland tags in, double hip toss connects and gets a 1 count. Cash in, and he spits in the face of Copeland. Lou Thesz Press from Copeland! Christian in, reverse DDT/side slam double team combo gets 2. Cage with the mounted punches in the corner and he bites the forehead of Cash. Cage misses the slingshot uppercut, and FTR hit a double team draping DDT! Dax beats down Cage in the corner, tag to Wheeler who delivers a vertical suplex. Jawbreaker by Cage, Cash cuts off the ring though. Back suplex from Cage, now Dax cuts off the ring. Cash pulls Copeland off the apron so Cage can’t make the tag. Backbreaker/knee drop combo from FTR, beautiful stuff, 1, 2, no. Cage gets a boot up in the face of Cash. Cage makes the tag to Copeland!

Cope with facebusters and flapjacks, along with the sitout reverse DDT. Impaler DDT blocked, Dax sent into the post, Blue Thunder from Cope! He holds his hand up for a five knuckle shuffle! YOU CAN’T SEE ME!! HE HITS IT!! FU!!!!!!!!!! 1, 2, NOOOO! Oh wow. Cena chants haha! Double clothesline from Cage and Dax. Double crossbodies from Cash and Cope. Everyone is down!

Back up, CnC hit stereo sharpshooters because we’re in Canada! Cash slaps Dax to stop him from tapping out. Stoke gives an assist to break the holds. CnC corner him on the outside…but FTR make the save. Cage is shoved into Cope on the top rope, and gets shoved outside. Dax climbs the buckles, Power and the Glory connects! 1, 2, NO. Shoulder up! FTR look for the Shatter Machine, Cope avoids it. SPEAR FROM CAGE. KILLSWITCH BY COPELAND! 1, 2, Stokely pulls the referee outside!

Music hits…and it’s BETH PHOENIX!! Beth Copeland, OK. She spears Stokely! Double spear by CnC, 1, 2, NOOOO! Beth hoists Stokely on her shoulders and takes him backstage. Cash gets sent to the outside. Dax is on his knees, pleading with Cope. Cash catches Cage on the top rope and powerbombs him through the announce desk!! Bell shot from Dax on Copeland. SPIKE PILEDRIVER! 1, 2, NOOOOOO! Copeland gets the shoulder up! Dax calls for the Shatter Machine again, Cope reverses into the Impaler. One to Cash as well! He can’t capitalize though. SHATTER MACHINE!! 1, 2, COPE KICKS OUT! WTF. ANOTHER SHATTER MACHINE CONNECTS. Uppercut from Cash….wait, Cage with an uppercut to Cash, SPEAR BY COPE! 1, 2, 3!

Winners: Christian Cage & Adam Copeland

Time: 18:04

Rating: ***3/4 – That Cena segment from Cope is going to get memed to hell. All the bells and whistles made this a ton of fun, and yes we did see Super Cope come into play but that was probably to be expected in Toronto. Kicking out of the Shatter Machine is a choice! But FTR can take the loss here without being hurt at all. Very good traditional tag match, made even better by the crowd.

*Post-match, Mother Wayne along with Nick Wayne in a wheelchair come to the stage…and FTR attack CnC from behind, with Kip Sabian joining in. Cope gets handcuffed to the ropes while FTR hit the Spike Piledriver on Christian. Beth Copeland is trying to undo the cuffs on Cope. She kisses him, turns around and starts fighting FTR! Dax grabs her…omg…SPIKE PILEDRIVER TO BETH COPELAND!! ‘You Sick Fucks’ chants to FTR while Cope is handcuffed to the ropes and has to watch.

*Oh here we go, time for Eddie Kingston’s return. Toronto, you better blow that roof off!

Big Bill (w/ Bryan Keith) vs Eddie Kingston

Haaaa Eddie is wearing a ‘Claudio sucks eggs’ tshirt. Kingston gets right up in Bill’s face as he enters the ring. Chops from Eddie as the bell rings. Big boot from Bill hits hard. Right hands and clubbing blows…Kingston looks for the exploder but to no avail. Bill mocks the crowd chanting Eddie and smacks him in the face. Eddie fires himself up, takes a few clubbing blows to the back, and gets knocked to the mat again. Splash in the corner from Bill, clothesline connects, 1, 2, no. Eddie with body shots, corner clothesline and machine gun chops. Exploder suplex attempt blocked once more, he ducks a shot from Bill and finally nails that Exploder. Eddie drops the straps, misses the backfist, Bill catches him just about with a Black Hole Slam and carries on with repeated right hands to the face. Another Black Hole Slam, hits hit cleanly this time, nice. 1, 2, NO. Bill calls for a chokeslam but Eddie counters with a DDT. He signals for the backfist Uraken, but Bill stands right back up. Big boot from Bill! Corner splash misses, Eddie with a rollup for 2, misses a backfist…pin, 1, 2, 3? Um? Yeah that was supposed to hit, even commentary thought it missed. Not great.

Winner: Eddie Kingston

Time: 7:20

Rating: **1/2 – SO great to see Eddie back in the ring, and he looked decent during the match itself, but that finish completely deflated everything. Very surprised Eddie didn’t hit the uraken again, but hey, we’re live pal.

*Bryan Keith attacks Eddie after the bell…and the lights go out! It’s HOOK! Bill runs off as Hook catches Keith in the Redrum. Kingston with the backfist! Eddie and Hook embrace. I could totally get on board with that team, that’s pretty cool.

[Tables & Thumbtacks No DQ Match] Mark Briscoe vs MJF

MJF is in white jeans and a white vest so you KNOW he is about to bleed buckets. Speaking of buckets, we have buckets of thumb tacks in the corners of the ring, and the tables are on the outside. MJF immediately heads to the floor, so Briscoe pours out a ton of thumbtacks from both buckets around the entire edges of the ring. Now he fills in the center of the ring, that entire canvas is covered!!

Briscoe heads outside the ring to grab MJF and smacks him with a bucket before laying him out on a table. Briscoe is thinking a little Bang Bang action but MJF with a low blow. Briscoe is back up, Jay Driller attempt, nope. Both men in the ring now, MJF is terrified of the tacks. They trade right hands. Briscoe goes for uppercurs to knock MJF off balance. They trade body slam attempts but no one can hit it. Max pulls the ref in front of him for the distraction, then finally slams Briscoe with a body slam into the tacks. MJF grabs the head and drives it into the canvas, right into the tacks! Briscoe is busted open from them. Ha, MJF packs away one of the tables and slides it back under the ring, fantastic. MJF flips off Danielson at ringside. He packs away the other table and puts it away, as Briscoe recovers. MJF pulls the vest off Briscoe…WHEELDROP INTO THE TACKS! 1, 2, NO. MJF drags Briscoe through the tacks now and we see them all sticking out of the back of Mark. MJF shoves the tacks in the mouth of Briscoe and smacks him in the face. Back body drop into the tacks! ANOTHER back body drop, Briscoe is taking serious punishment here. MJF goes for a third back body drop but Briscoe lands on his feet, and he nails a back body drop on MJF in return!

Briscoe with a clothesline in the corner and he rips the vest off of MJF. MJF avoids a back body drop. Enziguri but Briscoe lands in the tacks himself! Spinebuster on MJF into the tacks! Briscoe up top…damn he has tacks out the back of his head! MJF to the floor, tope con hilo through the middle ropes from Briscoe as he sets up one side of a table. Briscoe grabs a chair, sets it up in the ring…step up tope con hilo, driving MJF through the table at ringside. Briscoe pulls out the other table, knocks Maxwell back onto it and heads to the apron once more. Bang Bang! Cactus Elbow through the table! Back in the ring, MJF throws tacks in the eyes! But Briscoe comes right back with a powerbomb into the tacks. Mark pulls out a chair with tacks stuck to it. LOW BLOW by MJF. Maxwell grabs the tacks chair and smacks Briscoe in the back with it. TOMBSTONE INTO THE TACKS CHAIR! 1, 2, NO! Maxwell pulls a table into the ring and sets it up in the center. MJF has a bag from under the ring, and it’s more tacks which he empties out on top of the table. Powerbomb attempt, Briscoe counters with right hands in the corner. MJF crotches him though…MJF climbs the ropes, oh God. He’s thinking tombstone! Briscoe escapes….JAY DRILLER attempt blocked. MJF bites the forehead. Briscoe bites as well! FROGGY BOW off the top through the table! Briscoe goes back up, another Froggy Bow. Briscoe is back up, calls for the Jay Driller. JAY DRILLER INTO THE TACKS! 1, 2, 3!

Winner: Mark Briscoe

Time: 19:21

Rating: ***1/2 – It wasn’t as heated as I thought it would be in the early goings, as they focused on playing with the stipulation. It built into total carnage though, with big time tacks spots bringing the ultraviolence. Briscoe took some serious bumps here! Also a very (nicely) surprising result as Briscoe hasn’t had a big PPV win like this that meant something in quite some time. Props to these guys for all the punishment they went through; tacks in the HEAD have got to suck.

*Lexy Nair tries to catch up with Anthony Bowens, Max Caster and Jerry Lynn after September to Remember. Lynn tells them they work best when they work well together. Lynn got them a tag match together, but they both hate that. Lynn says if they don’t show up, they’ll both be suspended. Bowens says seeing as Caster has already been suspended a few times, has he got any advice? They trade barbs before Caster shoves Bowens and disappears.

The Hurt Syndicate vs The Demand (Ricochet & Gates of Agony)

MVP elects to start things off and he demands Ricochet. Ricochet looks for a feeling out process but then tags out to Bishop Kaun. Drop toe hold from MVP, front slam and a jumping knee drop gets a 1 count. Benjamin tags in and he shrugs off chops from Kaun. Both men trade clotheslines with neither man going down. Benjamin gets an ankle lock applied, leg whip to follow and a tag out to Lashley. Hurt Syndicate shoulder block on Kaun, and here comes Ricochet, spreading his lats to look bigger against Lashley. Ricochet has no effect with body shots, then gets sent into the lights with a huge back body drop. Delayed vertical suplex, MVP in for the Ballin’ elbow drop. 1, 2, no. Exploder from MVP, cover for another 2 count. Kaun with a blind tag, takes out the knee of MVP. Liona targets the leg with a splash, gets a 1 count. Clothesline from MVP knocks Liona to the floor, Ricochet in but gets sent right to the outside, only to wrench Benjamin off the apron. Liona from behind with a splash.

MVP tags in Lashley, overhead belly to belly suplexes to everyone! Dominator by Lashley, 1, 2, Liona breaks it up. Liona and Lashley go face to face but Liona is sent out of the ring by Aubrey. Ricochet looks for a leaping headscissors on Benjamin, Shelton catches him though. Capture release suplex. German to Ricochet! Again. One to Liona and Kaun too! Benjamin Germans both Kaun and Ricochet now! Benjamin and Liona go at it, Lashley blind tags in, SPEAR! Another to Kaun! 1, 2, Ricochet with a 450 to make the save! Uppercut from MVP, Kaun with a backstabber though. Liona with the canonball. Benjamin sends Kaun into Ricochet, Lashley tosses Ricochet into the barricade now. Liona with a chairshot to Lashley! Ref didn’t see it apparently. Benjaming with a step up kick off a chair to catch Liona. Ricochet with a tope con hilo over the corner ringpost to take out the Syndicate. Liona gets launched into Lashley and Benjamin at ringside, knocking them over the guard rail. In the ring, MVP catches Ricochet with an exploder. Another to Kaun. Chop block from Kaun blocks the Playmaker. Ricochet with the Spirit Gun! 1, 2, 3.

Winners: The Demand

Time: 13:40

Rating: **3/4 – It didn’t feel like it belonged on PPV, and while it had its moments with some spots to pop the crowd, it definitely dropped the pace of the show. Another surprising result though, and it appears the Demand may indeed have a brighter future than expected.

[AEW TBS Championship] Mercedes Mone (c) vs Riho

Mone pie-faces Riho, so Riho responds with a backslide. They exchange covers for 1 counts. Statement Maker attempt, Riho escapes. Riho with a single leg crab, Mone claws her way to the ropes. Riho goes back up top…diving crossbody, 1, 2, no. Northern Lights suplex, 1, 2, no. Mone gouges the eyes, lungblower connects. Mone Maker, 1, 2, 3.

Winner and STILL AEW TBS Champion: Mercedes Mone

Time: 15:55

Rating: ***1/4 – Riho and Mone matched up really well here which helped to pick the pace back up. Only thing holding it back, especially as it went longer, was the fact that I don’t think anyone bought Riho winning at this stage. Anti-climactic finish aside, this was pretty good!

[AEW Unified Championship] Kazuchika Okada (c) vs Konosuke Takeshita vs Mascara Dorada

This could get pretty wild, pretty quickly. Takeshita grabs Dorada and tosses him outside, but he comes right back in. Okada tries to do the same but Dorada with a handspring to knock both guys back. Dorada and Okada face off, fancy arm drag from Dorada, who then hits a Code Red on Takeshita for 2! Takeshita catches Dorada and tosses him like a pancake before booting him in the face. Enziguri to Takeshita from Dorada, nice sequence leading to an armdrag on Okada before Takeshita tosses Dorada to the apron. Diving hurracanrana on Okada, crowd is behind Dorada now. Blue Thunder attempt reversed into a tijeras, nicely done. Dorada takes a run up but Okada sweeps the legs as Callis calls him the Ichiban. Neckbreaker from the champion. Okada tries to unmask Dorada, gives up though. Lackadaisical kicks, Dorada slaps him in the chest, and Okada responds with a DDT. Now Takeshita and Okada square off. Gouge of the eyes from Okada! Running kick to Dorada, cover, 1, 2, no. Running back elbow, and Okada is all smiles. Tornillo into an armdrag. Takeshita launches Dorada into a dropkick. OH lovely tijeras from Dorada takes Takeshita down. Tornillo to the outside on Okada, another to Takeshita on the opposite side of the ring! DORADAMANIA is running wild!!

Enziguri catches Okada, he has him on his shoulders, electric chair neckbreaker from Dorada, damn! 1, 2, no! Okada comes back, catching Dorada with the Air Raid Crash on the knee. Body slam, and Okada heads up top. Diving elbow drop lands flush. RAINMAKER MIDDLE FINGER POSE and he holds it up directly in Takeshita’s face. Blue Thunder reversed, biiiiiig right hand from Takeshita. Rainmaker reversed into the Blue Thunder GOD DAMN!!! 1, 2, NO.

Takeshita misses the PowerDrive knee, Dorada nails a destroyer though! 1, 2, NO. Mascara to the top, 450 connects! 1, 2, Okada pulls him out and throws him into the barricade. Okada to the top now, Takeshita with a right hand and he goes up with him. Both men up there…Dorada with a DOUBLE HURRACANRANA OFF THE TOP!! He covers Okada, 1, 2, no, cover to Takeshita, 1, 2, NO! Dorada takes it to both men, but they hit a pair of boots to the face. Okada and Takeshita side-eye each other and now they take turns trading right hands. Okada drops to his knees. Raging Fire COUNTERED, no, Takeshita rolls through again and hits it! 1, 2, Okada up, Rainmaker avoided. Elbow from Takeshita, DROPKICK from Okada. RAINMAKER TO DORADA!!! 1, 2, 3.

Winner and STILL AEW Unified Champion: Kazuchika Okada

Time: 20:55

Rating: ****1/2 – It was so obvious that Dorada was eating the fall here…which is why it’s quite so impressive that he was such a focal part of the match from the get-go, and he honestly loses nothing in defeat here. If anything, this match made him in the AEW landscape, putting on a fantastic performance and standing out when going toe to toe with both Okada and Takeshita. That closing stretch was pulled off to perfection. Standing ovation, well deserved. I cannot WAIT for the impending Okada/Takeshita singles match.

[Coffin Match] Jon Moxley vs Darby Allin

Darby Allin attacks Moxley in the crowd as Moxley makes his entrance! Off to a hot start. Darby climbs the railings by an entrance way….COFFIN DROP OFF THE LEDGE! Darby’s already tried to kill himself and we’ve been going for 41 seconds.

Moxley back up, boots Darby off a chair, and they battle up the steps among the fans. Dropkick by Darby, but he lands back first on the steps. Moxley crotches Darby on an upright railing, and they make their way towards the staging area. Darby throws a soda at Moxley and rakes the back. Darby is sent over the barricade to the ringside area, gets right back up and bites the ear of Moxley. Odd camera work here, I think they’re trying to bust Moxley’s ear open like at Forbidden Door but it’s failing, and they’re trying to hide it. Oh that’s done it, yeah Moxley is bleeding from the ear now! Mox picks up the coffin and pulls it near the ring….DARBY WITH A TOPE SUICIDA AND BOTH MEN GET KNOCKED INTO THE COFFIN! It doesn’t fully close, and Moxley blocks it as Darby tries to close it around him. They battle to the other side of the ring…Moxley waits on the floor, Darby dives with another tope suicida but Moxley catches him with a cutter! Moxley pulls out a table that has spray paint on saying ‘Nothing’s over til it’s over’. Moxley slams Allin on top of the coffin, and here comes Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta. Winner: Jon Moxley

Time: 19:20

Rating: ***1/2 – Great return for Pac, getting involved in a very notable way, and this had moments of being particularly wild. Not everything worked, but the brutality was on show from the start, and the callbacks from the whole Death Riders angle was a really neat touch.

*The Conglomeration are celebrating backstage, with Briscoe particularly happy, and he wants to look forward. He sees someone who has been a thorn in his ass…Don Callis. Winner and NEW AEW Women’s World Champion: Kris Statlander

Time: 11:58

Rating: ***1/2 – Some frenzied action from all four women, with everyone getting their shit in and shining with it too. It certainly felt like we might get a new champion here, and it could have gone any way, but Statlander was the one to pull through, and that’s pretty cool. She uses Yuta’s seatbelt again, so there’s bound to be follow-up to that nuanced element. Impressive for all four to come out of this looking strong.

*Pyro celebration for our new Women’s World champion as Harley Cameron comes out to celebrate with Statlander.

*WrestleDream 2025 hits St Louis on Saturday October 18th

Winners and STILL AEW World Tag Team Champions: Brodido

Time:24:35

Rating: ***3/4 – That really was wild and chaotic in the best possible way. This sort of thing only has a certain mileage, especially when we get to the point where everyone is taking turns to enter the ring, but some of those spots were pure insanity. Ice baths galore for these guys tonight! Great to see Brodido pull out the victory against these teams, that really certifies their reign as legit.

*Post-match Jack Perry arrives and enters the ring with the Bucks…and he attacks them! Rocky Romero is out too, and Perry hits a DDT to Romero. Double superkick from the Bucks to Perry. [AEW Men’s World Championship] Hangman Page (c) vs Kyle Fletcher

Page has a taped up neck after the brainbuster through the table this past week. For some reason we still have the tinted lighting from the entrances, with heavy spotlights on the ring. Kyle knocks Page down with a shoulder block and flexes. Page is back up and delivers a boot to the face. Both men trade chops as the lighting seemingly returns to normal. Fletcher unloads with right hands in the corner but Page turns the tables and delivers rights of his own. They make their way to the apron and of course Kyle is looking for that brainbuster. Countered! Kick to the back of the head from Fletcher, counter, DEADEYE THROUGH THE TABLE! That table exploded and Hangman’s knee looked like it planted straight on the floor. Buckshot lariat atempt once they make it back into the ring, but Fletcher ducks (or perhaps just crumbles) and both men are down.

They make it to their feet, and Page signals for the V-Trigger! V-TRIGGER CONNECTS! ONE WINGED ANGEL no, Fletcher slips out. Superkick. Deadeye from Page, 1, 2, NOOO. We get the call that 30 minutes have elapsed. Page misses a lariat, Fletcher hits a Hidden Blade, quick cover but Page kicks out. Winner and STILL AEW Men’s World Champion: Hangman Adam Page

Time: 38:09

Rating: ****1/4 – Hangman smartly played the underdog in the early portion of the match, selling Fletcher as a legit challenge. As a whole, it was a rather elongated match, perhaps more so than it needed to be, but they built the action incredibly well, with Fletcher getting some damn good nearfalls. Both guys put each other through the ringer, dishing out the brutality in equal measure. Fletcher is a future star, there’s no question, and this showed once again he can hold his own in a big time main event spot.

*Hangman Adam Page celebrates with the championship as we go off the air. Thanks everyone, have a great week and I will see you for Dynamite coverage on Wednesday!

The final score: review Very Good
The 411
Early on, there were a few notable duff moments, such as the botched ending to Eddie/Bill, and the Demand/Hurt Syndicate match feeling more of a TV match than PPV. That made the first half feel a little shaky at times, but once we got to the Unified championship, the show turned a corner. The tag title ladder match and CnC vs FTR delivered in a big way, and with great outings in the women’s four way, Briscoe/MJF and Moxley/Darby to pepper the show with goodness throughout, this gets an easy recommendation. Takeshita/Okada/Dorada absolutely tore the house down, and Fletcher/Hangman almost rivalled it, had it not gone almost 40 minutes. Couple the awesome in-ring action with moments like the Jurassic Express reunion, and it’s clear that AEW delivered once again tonight.
