AJ Styles Speaks on His Plans For Upcoming WWE Hall of Fame Speech
AJ Styles will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 17 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He’ll be joined by Stephanie McMahon, Demolition & Dennis Rodman, and probably a couple of other folks yet to be named. It should be a fun night, and from what AJ is saying the rest of the inductees should get plenty of time to speak their piece.
While chatting with Tony Giles on his new Phenomenally Retro Podcast, the topic of the Hall of Fame came up. AJ Styles spoke like a man who’s sat through some HOF ceremonies before, and he doesn’t intend on having an overly long speech.
AJ Styles on his Upcoming WWE Hall of Fame Speech:
“I’m going to try not to piss everybody off who has come there to see all the other inductions. I’m going to try not to look there there’s some guys that we’ve watched in the past you’re going “Holy cow, wrap it up.” Everybody’s thinking the same thing like “All right man, that was good, that was great.” Okay. So, I’m going to try to make sure that I stay within the guidelines of that and not make people hate AJ Styles based on his Hall of Fame induction speech. So, short and sweet, I think, is the best way to do it. Uh I know there are guys who’ve tried to put a little bit more comedy in theirs, which is great. I don’t know exactly how it’s going to be or what I’m going to say, but I know I got a lot of people that I need to thank. So I’m gonna try to do that and…tell the fans how much I appreciate them for getting me to this far…Listen, I look at (myself) in the mirror and I know I never should have made it. So the fact that I did so…that’s a testament to the kind of fans that are out there.”
