Austin Theory recently weighed in on fan reactions to him, noting that he doesn’t get bothered by the hate he receives. Theory has been a heel for the whole of his main roster WWE run, so he’s used to getting booed by fans. He currently garners that reaction as a member of The Vision and co-holder of the WWE Tag Team Championships with Logan Paul.
Theory played a couple Q&A games in his interview with Enry Lazza ahead of WWE Clash in Italy. He noted that fan hate doesn’t bother him and that he feels like he has a lot of control over his career. He also said he would rather be splashed through a table by IShowSpeed than take a chop from Gunther. You can see highlights below:
On If Taking an IShowSpeed Splash Through a Table Is Better Than a Gunther Chop:
“That’s real, that’s real. Only Logan [Paul] can answer that. But I don’t want to get chopped by Gunther. That thing looks nasty.”
On Being Hated By Fans:
“It doesn’t really bother me but, you know, no one wants to be hated. But if I got to be hated for how good I am, it’s real then.”
On How Much Control He Has Over His Career:
“I feel like it’s — I don’t get to make every choice, but I think I hold a lot of that power. So let’s go with an eight [out of 10].”
