Backstage Note On AMC Relationship With TNA

TNA Impact has been on AMC for about a month now, and a new report has a minor note about the relationship between the two companies. TNA held its premiere episode of TNA Impact on AMC and AMC+ on January 15th. Sean Ross Sapp was asked in a Fightful Select Q&A about whether there’s been any “buyer’s remorse” coming out of AMC thus far, and he notes that there’s been nothing even approaching a negative sentiment regarding the matter.
Sapp noted that a lot of AMC employees were at Impact’s debut and “seemed to have a good time.” That jives with what Matt Hardy said recently when he noted:
“The people at AMC were so blown away by the first live episode and the second live episode we did in Albuquerque. For them just to witness the chaos that goes into a two-hour show with all these different wrestlers and all these different moving pieces, like they were thrilled about it.”
Sapp did note for transparency’s sake that he is still in the process of developing sources at AMC but that he has one who has said nothing but good things thus far.
TNA Impact has been delivering in the ratings for AMC thus far, with the demo rating ticking only slightly down in week two while the viewership was stable. Since then, it has been increasing week to week with last week’s numbers hitting a new high.
