Backstage Note On Will Kroos’ WWE NXT Debut

Will Kross made his debut on last night’s episode of WWE NXT, and a report has a note on who in the company were aware it was happening. As noted, Kroos appeared during last night’s segment with Tony D’Angelo, EVIL, and Tavion Heights. After EVIL confronted D’Angelo and left the ring, Heights came in and hit the NXT Champion with a belly to belly suplex and then Kroos came into the ring to hit a moonsault, much to the surprise of the NXT audience and Vic Joseph.

According to Bodyslam+, only a small group of people were aware that Kroos was debuting. The report cites sources as saying that awareness was largely limited to NXT management, producers, and the talent involved.

Kroos is an eight-year veteran of the UK scene and a former PROGRESS Atlas Champion. He has worked regularly with PROGRESS and RevPro among other promotions, and had a tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH that ran from November of last year until mid-January.

PROGRESS took to social media to praise Kroos following his debut, writing:

#WWENXT”

No word on what Kroos’ name will be going forward. He was not referred to by name on last night’s show.
