Backstage Update on Saraya Possibly Returning to WWE

The latest edition of Fightful Select Answers Q&A has an update on former WWE Divas Champion Saraya, aka Paige, and if she’s bound for a WWE return. As noted, Saraya exited AEW earlier this year, later starting her own podcast called Rulebreakers.

Sean Ross Sapp noted that he hasn’t heard of any communications between Saraya and WWE. However, he reports that Saraya is open to possibly rejoining WWE, but a major obstacle would be if WWE allows her to wrestle, as she wasn’t cleared to compete in the ring when she left the promotion.

Saraya did eventually return to the ring, competing in AEW starting with her match against Britt Baker at AEW Full Gear 2022, which she won. She continued wrestling in AEW without any issues. It’s also said that Triple H wanted Saraya to stay in WWE when she initially left, and it’s said that WWE tried to entice her to stay.

Earlier in June, The Orlando Sentinel asked Saraya about a potential WWE return. She said at the time, “I haven’t had a conversation with them. I know, I always get tagged in everything, as soon as there’s a mystery going around, they’re like, ‘Hey, she’s coming back.’ But no. I love the WWE, but no.”

She also added, “It feels good to take a little break from wrestling and then see the outpouring of love from people saying they want me back.” The wrestler also released her first memoir earlier this year, Hell in Boots: Clawing My Way Through Nine Lives. The book is due out in paperback later this March 2026.
