‘Beautiful’ Bobby Eaton Has Passed Away At The Age Of 62
‘Beautiful’ Bobby Eaton, one of the members of the Midnight Express, has passed away at the age of 62 after spending weeks in the hospital. The news comes just over a month after his wife Donna had died back in June. He had been dealing with congestive heart failure, which was causing fluid to build up in his legs and other parts of his body. The news about his passing was revealed on Facebook by his sister Deborah.
She wrote: “I never wanted to have to post this ,but my Little Brother Beautiful Bobby Eaton passed away last night. When i find out all the details i will post them. Bobby was the kindest, loving person you would ever meet . I loved him so much and going to miss him, Please say a prayer for my Niece Taryn she found him. And she just lost her Mom a little over a Month ago.”
As the Midnight Express (first with Dennis Condrey, then Stan Lane), Eaton picked up multiple tag team titles over his career, wrestling for Mid-South, Jim Crockett Promotions/WCW, WCCW and more. He’s also wrestled for Smoky Mountain Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling, but interestingly never went to WWE. He is also a member of the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, after he was inducted in 2019 as part of the Midnight Express.
He had a reputation as being one of the nicest people in pro wrestling, with both Mick Foley and Steve Austin praising him in their autobiographies. When he started dating Donna, who is Bill Dundee’s daughter, they kept it a secret because Dundee didn’t want her dating a wrestler. However, when he found out it was Eaton, he was okay with it due to how well-liked he is. The two had three children together.
411 would like to give our condolences to the family, friends and fans of Mr. Eaton.
