Blair Davenport Explains Her Actions on Last Night’s WWE SmackDown

– As previously reported, The Unholy Union retained their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles last night on SmackDown. Blair Davenport joined the tag team, forming an alliance and helped them retain the belts against former champions, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. Davenport’s interference caused a disqualification, but the champions still retained their titles as a result. After the match, the group spoke to Byron Saxton in a WWE digital exclusive video on their victory. Below are some highlights:

Alba Fyre on their victory: “Of course. Did you think it would be anything different? We were, of course, winning in there. We were going to win and we were going to come in and it doesn’t matter what way that we won. All that matters is we walked away with these shiny tag titles.”

Blair Davenport on why she got involved: “Why? You want to know why? Well, let me tell you why, Byron. I caught Jade, Bianca, Naomi all running their mouths about us backstage, thinking they could do that to us and not have any repercussions. They think they might be little good buddies or whatever they are. … And the one thing that we have that they don’t is history. All the way back to NXT UK, all the way back to Japan, all over UK wrestling scene. We’ve known each other for a very long time. And history means more than whatever fake friendship they’re trying to build right now.”
