Blake Monroe makes her first defense of the Women’s North American Championship at NXT Gold Rush next month. Monroe captured the title, her first in WWE, by defeating Zaria at NXT Halloween Havoc. Zaria was defending the title on behalf of Sol Ruca, who is out of action due to injury.
Monroe appeared in a vignette on Tuesday night’s episode of NXT. She announced in the video package that her first title defense would take place in New York City at Gold Rush.
WWE announced the two-week Gold Rush event during Halloween Havoc. The shows take place on November 18th and 25th at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. TNA , AAA, and EVOLVE are also set to factor into the two shows.
Monroe’s match is the first announced for the events. They air live on The CW and Netflix internationally in the usual WWE NXT timeslot.
