Chad Gable Reacts To Losing Mask vs. Mask Match At AAA Noche de Los Grandes

Chad Gable was revealed to be the original El Grande Americano at last night’s AAA Noche de Los Grandes, and he took to social media to comment afterward. As noted. Gable lost a mask vs. mark match to El Grande Americano II at last night’s show. He was forced to unmask afterward as a result of the loss.

Gable posted to his Instagram account after the show and shared a clip of himself taking off the mask. He wrote in the post:

“Tonight the mask died, and suddenly I feel more ALIVE than ever.”

Chad Gable has been under the mask since March of 2025 following a storyline where he tracked down the secrets of the “dark arts” of Lucha Libre. He went down to injury a few months later in June, and El Grande Americano II made his debut in Gable’s place. He returned from injury at the Royal Rumble in late January and has been feuding with Americano II since.
