– WWE Network News reports that WWE is bringing the WWF Superstars program from April 1992 to the WWE Network. Originally titled Superstars of Wrestling, the show was dealing with a number of legal issues, such as visual and audio references. As a result, WWE was reluctant to release earlier episodes of the show in full.
April 1992 is when the name of the show was changed from “Superstars of Wrestling” to merely “Superstars.” Per the report, WWE can now fill the gaps in the program, but they’ve opted to start with the April 1992 period as “the point of least resistance.”
The shows are reportedly being added to the WWE Network on January 21. Eventually, WWE is going to add over 30 episodes of WWF Superstars to the Network, which would bring it close to the end of 1992.
