Claudio Castagnoli Set To Defend CMLL World Heavyweight Title Against Hechicero on March 20

As previously noted, AEW star Claudio Castagnoli successfully defended his CMLL World Heavyweight Title against Último Guerrero in the main event of last night’s Viernes Espectacular show. After the match, another familiar face challenged the Death Riders member to his next title bout.

Furious with the outcome in the main event, Hechicero launched himself over the commentary booth and entered the ring to challenge Castagnoli for the CMLL World Heavyweight Title. The reigning champion accepted the challenge, which will now take place on Friday, March 20 at Arena Mexico.

Claudio Castagnoli has held the CMLL World Heavyweight Title for 107 days, winning it from Gran Guerrero last November. Hechicero also wrestles in AEW as a member of The Don Callis Family.
