CM Punk & AJ Styles Share Emotional Moment After WWE Raw Goes Off the Air

During last night’s WWE Raw, AJ Styles challenged CM Punk in the main event for the World Heavyweight Title. Unfortunately, their match prematurely ended due to a no-contest after Finn Balor interfered. However, that didn’t stop Punk and Styles from sharing their love and respect for one another.

After the show went off the air, AJ Styles and CM Punk both got on the microphone and shared their mutual respect for each other. Styles got on the microphone first, telling Punk, “We’ve had some hard times, but I’m so grateful that you and I were in this ring tonight, and I want to tell you and all the fans here tonight, I love you, brother.”

CM Punk then said on the mic, “Look, I don’t know what happens in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, when AJ Styles takes on Gunther, I just know that I’m going to be glued to the monitor watching just like all of you.” He continued, “I mean this when I say it, AJ, I whispered it to you earlier: I don’t care who knows it publicly, it has been a privilege to know you. It’s a privilege to call you a friend; it’s an honor to be in the ring with you. I speak as a fan, I hope Saturday’s not it, but if it is, man, what a hell of a career. I love you, brother. Thank you!”

WWE Royal Rumble 2026 takes place on Saturday, January 31 at the KAFD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It will air live on the ESPN App in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
