Finn Balor Interferes In CM Punk vs. AJ Styles On WWE Raw, Assaults Punk

Finn Balor brought CM Punk and AJ Styles’ match on WWE Raw to an ignominious end, interfering in the match and attacking Punk afterward. Monday night’s show saw Punk put the World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Styles in what may be Styles’ last match on the Red Brand. The two battled tooth and nail for just over 18 minutes, trading nearfalls with the title on the line until Balor interfered to break up the match.

Earlier in the show, Balor and Punk shared a moment backstage where Punk praised Balor for their match on last week’s show. Balor wanted another shot and Punk told him to win the men’s Rumble match, suggesting that he dump the Judgment Day. Liv Morgan overheard the discussion and questioned Balor’s loyalty to the group. Later, when Balor found Adam Pearce and said that he wanted in the Rumble, Pearce replied that the match was full.

That led to Balor’s attack in the closing moments of the show. After the bell rang, he continued his assault on Punk and delivered a Coup de Grace. He mocked Punk with the GTS pose before hitting a second Coup de Grace and then a third. Raw went off the air with Balor looming over the World Heavyweight Champion. You can see highlights below:
