Collider recently interviewed the cast of Girl on the Third Floor, including former WWE Superstar CM Punk. His co-stars Elissa Dowling, Trieste Kelly Dunn, Sarah Brooks, and Travis Delgado were also part of the interview. You can check out the video for that group interview, along with highlights of Punk’s comments, below.

CM Punk on how he got involved with the film: “Just like everything else in my life, it just kind of fell from the sky. I was fortunate enough to have been recommended by Bobcat Goldthwait, which is I don’t know, like a feather in my cap. That’s not something that as an eight-year-old watching Police Academy that you would ever think would possibly happen in your life. But thankfully, he did. A friend of a friend knew how to get a hold of me. That’s how it works everybody. It’s not what you know. It’s who you know, and they contacted me. I’ve been contacted in the past about things, like, “Hey! We want to do this project! We want to do this movie! So, at first, I did kind of take it with a grain of salt. And then the names attached to it, you can’t not go, ‘Oh. Wait.’ The first time I heard Travis’ name, I was like, ‘The guy who produced Jodorowsky’s Dune?’ So without even reading the script, I was immediately like, ‘I’m in!’ It can’t be a bad experience. I was fortunate enough to be blessed by this amazing cast. Great people. I mean from catering, to makeup, to sound, everybody on the house was exceptional to work with. That’s where I’m at in my life. No a**holes. I’m fortunate enough that I can pick and choose things, and my one rule is ‘I’m not working with anybody that sucks.’ So, you have the stamp of approval here. Everybody up here is nice, kind human being.”

CM Punk on his character in the film: “I play Don Coch who may or may not be a nice guy depending on your point of view, and I think that’s what makes this interesting, obviously, you have to come to your own conclusions. I think he’s a lovable guy. And then, you watch the movie, and then you may or may not find out some things as he tries to renovate this full house. Tears out some walls and maybe some things from his past kind of get torn out with it. But it’s not your simple, straight-forward good guy/bad guy protagonist/antagonist sort of thing. There’s levels and there’s layers to it. That is what I enjoyed the most about all this.”
