Nexus Point News reports that WWE superstar Cody Rhodes is in talks to play Guile in the upcoming Street Fighter movie. The character was played by Jean-Claude Van Damme in the 1994 movie, but absent from the 2009 one.
If Rhodes joins the cast, he’ll be the second wrestler to do so. Roman Reigns was recently cast as Akuma in the upcoming adaptation. It will be directed by Kitao Sakurai from a script by Dalan Musson. The film stars Noah Centineo as Ken, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Jason Momoa as Blanka, 50 Cent as Balrog, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Orville Peck as Vega and David Dastmalchian as M. Bison.
Rhodes’ next acting role can be seen in the upcoming reboot of The Naked Gun, which debuts on August 1.
