Cook’s WWE Raw Review 10.27.25

Hey kids! Steve Cook here with you for the latest edition of WWE Raw on Netflix! Tonight marks the rare Sports Equinox, one of the few nights where there’s action from all four major sports in America. NFL, MLB, NBA & NHL are all having games tonight, along with some Hell Is Real MLS playoff action in Cincinnati. Here, Monday nights are for wrestling!

Cook’s WWE Raw Review 10.27.25

Then. Now. Forever. Together!

We see the palm trees in Anaheim, California. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss are SHARING COFFEE. Penta is STRUTTING AND WEARING A BLACK DODGER HAT. We look back at last week, where Jey Uso won a battle royal and Jackie Redmond was nowhere to be seen. Back in real time, the World Heavyweight Championship sits on a platform in the ring.

Time to yeet! Jey Uso makes his way to the ring. Jey’s new shirt tells us to run that ish back. I, for one, think we’ve been running too much ish back lately. The fans seem happy to yeet though, and we get the yeet encore! The fans chant for CM Punk before Jey can welcome us to Monday Night Raw. Jey’s got a lot of people in his ear. Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, everybody’s mama. Right now, he doesn’t give a damn what they think. It’s just him, and he’ll be a two time World Champion. Before Jey can hit a catchphrase…LIKE MUSSOLINI, CM Punk marches down to the ring. Punk runs his own ish back before starting his speech.

Punk notices his last name is four letters and one word. He’ll be in Jey’s grill on Saturday night. Jey’s listening to himself, not all the noise. It’s no secret that they’re friends, which makes it harder for Punk to go against him. Punk’s never been in Jey’s situation because he always believes in himself. It’s easy to do when you’re winning, harder to do when you’re losing or about to lose. Punk knows Jey has what it takes. He watched Jey throw his own brother over the top rope. Punk tells the fans not to boo sibling on sibling violence, Jey proved he has what it takes. How far is Jey willing to go? He’s not asking Big Jim’s brother or Little Roman, he’s asking Main Event Jey Uso how far he’s willing to go. Punk also needs to be champion again like he needs air in his lungs. Punk knows how far he’s willing to go, but wonders what Jey will do when he’s in a situation he can’t yeet his way out of. How far is Jey willing to go? Jey says “Let’s go, Punk”. Punk’s going to spin things and make people think that Jey’s the bad guy. Jey tells Punk to screw himself and he’ll show him what’s what on Saturday night. Jey leaves and Punk remains to stare at the Championship.

Joe & Wade show us AJ Styles & Dragon Lee winning the World Tag Team Championship last week. Roxanne, Raquel, JD & Finn talk backstage, Dirty Dom breaks in and says there’s a problem. He’ll have to face either Penta or Rusev after their match tonight! Raquel calls him a cheater as the rest of Judgment Day doesn’t seem interested in Dom’s problem. Finn & JD plan on getting back the titles Dom cost them last week. Raquel tells Roxanne to let the rest of the group focus on theirs while they focus on their own.

Nikki Bella is WALKING! Yeah she is. She’ll be facing Roxanne (and probably Raquel) later tonight.

Men’s Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender Match: Penta vs. Rusev: We see clips of Dom cheating to beat Rusev last week, and Penta attacking Rusev afterward. Penta goes right to Chop City, then kicks Rusev and takes him down with a sling blade. Flying headscissor by Penta sends Rusev outside. Penta wants to dive but runs into Rusev’s right hand instead. Penta kicks Rusev off the apron, hits the flip dive this time. I couldn’t tell if he was favoring his back or doing a Tranquilo pose. Probably the latter, he hits a tornado DDT in the ring for two. Penta motions for the Mexican Destroyer, Rusev rolls outside. Penta follows him and gets beaten on the apron before getting punched in the mouth. Short arm clothesline on the outside by Rusev. Back in the ring, a splash in the corner by Rusev. Penta up and over into a backstabber on Rusev gets two. Penta kicks Rusev outside, Rusev evades the baseball slide and flapjacks Penta into the steps. We go to commercial!

Rusev goes for Penta’s mask as we return, but Penta fights that off and ends up in a bearhug for a second. Rusev with a big boot and a miss in the corner. Penta kicks Rusev down and hits the handstand dropkick for two. Penta with some kicks to a downed Rusev. Penta sets up for the Destroyer, but Rusev meets him with a Machka kick for two. It’s GAME OVER and Rusev goes for the Accolade, Penta escapes and hits his Driver for 2.98. I’m not too sure about that and neither are the fans in attendance. Penta & Rusev exchange shots on their knees, and here come Rayo & Bravo Americano to attack both men!

Winner: Nobody (6:55 shown via disqualification)
Match Rating: **1/2
These guys seem to work pretty well together. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more of it in a slightly different fashion soon once the three-way match is made, playa.

El Grande is there as well, and he smacks Penta down with assistance from his compatriots. Rusev is sent into the steps. Rusev rises up while Grande does every pose he can think of, and Rusev takes Rayo & Bravo out. Penta tries to take Grande out, but Grande is pulled out by Rayo & Bravo.

JACKIE REDMOND is with LA Knight, who came up short last week. Where’s he going from here? LA did fall short last week, and we don’t see that belt around his waist right now. Jey Uso is going on to SNME and he isn’t. He can get rid of the sunglasses & vest and do what he needs to do. He doesn’t know how to quit, so whoever comes out of the Punk/Jey match will have to deal with him. Yeah. I like how Knight is very respectful towards Jackie in their interactions.

Paul Heyman & the Brons are backstage, with Bron wondering why they were held out of the battle royal last week when they could have demolished every man in the match. Heyman claims it might have caused Adam Pearce to suspend them all without pay. One man shares their vision, which is taking advantage of the winner of the Punk/Uso match on Saturday. They should take that man out before he can do it. Bron wants a match with that man, and Paul has already got Pearce to make it with LA Knight. The Brons look excited.

We see the World Championship at ringside, and now we look back at 10 years of Asuka in WWE. Did you know she had a 914 day undefeated streak? (Goldberg does.) Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank, Elimination Chamber, 4-time Tag Team Champion, 5-time Women’s Champion. Nobody is ready for Asuka!

Finn & JD join Adam Pearce in his office. Pearce has some news for Dom, but Finn & JD want a rematch for their championship. One of them will go one on one with Sheamus tonight, who they illegally eliminated from the battle royal last week. JD says he’ll do it, and Finn tells Pearce not to forget about the Tag Team Championship re-match.

Nikki Bella vs. Roxanne Perez (w/Raquel Rodriguez): So, last week when Nikki ran down to save Stephanie from Roxanne & Raquel, there were some moments where a black screen popped up. I didn’t want to speculate at the time, but apparently there was a wardrobe malfunction. I’ve seen wardrobe malfunctions on Netflix before so I’m not sure what the issue was there. Roxanne uses her evasiveness to avoid Nikki and mock her early on. Roxanne offers the handshake, Nikki slaps it away and gets slapped. Nikki hits a sunset flip for two. Nikki with some kicks to Roxanne’s face, then some chain wrestling. Nikki with a headlock, but Roxanne uses the hair to drive Nikki down. Headlocks exchanged, Nikki avoids the leg sweep and drives Roxanne’s head into her knee. Roxanne goes outside and Raquel avoids the action as one would expect. Nikki throws Roxanne back in the ring and drives her head into the turnbuckles. Nikki tries to go up top, but Raquel knocks her off while the referee is checking on Roxanne. Roxanne catapults Nikki throat-first into the middle rope. We go to commercial!

Roxanne chokes Nikki on the ropes and uppercuts her in the back of the head. A Perfect 10 gets two for Roxanne. Roxanne locks in the neck vice. Nikki fights out but Roxanne mares her down for two and then continues hitting her in the back of the head & neck. Raquel is impressed on the outside, but Nikki fights back with her own punches. Nikki with forearms. Both women go down after the attempted mid-ring hair mare. Clotheslines by Nikki, one in the corner. Spin kick off the middle turnbuckle gets two. Rack Attack 2.0 is blocked, Roxanne with a sleeper. Nikki flips her out of it, then gets sent into the middle rope. Nikki with some spine on the pine for a two count. Nikki knocks Raquel off the apron, then Roxanne rolls her up with her feet on the ropes for two. A rollup by Nikki gets two, and the 2.0 is blocked again. Nikki misses in the corner, and Roxanne hits her with Pop Rox for the three count!

Winner: Roxanne Perez (8:16 shown via pinfall)
Match Rating: **1/2
Roxanne has been the true workhorse of WWE’s women’s divisions this year, and delivers a good effort every time she’s out there. Nikki beating Roxanne does nothing for Nikki except annoy the haters, but Roxanne getting the win over a Hall of Famer boosts her profile. The match served its purpose well.

The post-match attack is quickly cut off by Stephanie Vaquer, and Roxanne & Raquel exit the ring. Raquel re-enters and stares down Stephanie. Nikki enters the situation and Raquel opts to leave. Stephanie & Nikki hug and the two pairs raise each others’ hands.

Last Friday on social media, Bayley issued a challenge to Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss on behalf of Lyra Valkyria and herself. Asuka & Kairi Sane get on Lyra’s case about it since they deserve a title shot. Lyra had nothing to do with it! Bayley got Lyra a matching tag team jacket! Lyra hasn’t been in the ring with Charlotte or Alexa so this is a big deal for her. Bayley says they’re the main event tonight. They eventually agree on things and do their handshake, kinda.

Jimmy Uso yells at Jey about how he saved his ass twice in that battle royal. Jey claims he was trying to eliminate LA, but Jimmy says Jey was thinking about himself. Jimmy says if Jey was really sure of himself, he wouldn’t be so scared of what would happen if they met again.

LA Knight vs. Bron Breakker (w/Bronson Reed & Paul Heyman): The sign says they want LA Knight, not Jey. No Yeah on the sign, oddly. Tieup brings both men around the ring, Knight with an elbow and some punches. Spinning elbow sends Bron down. LA with some corner Yeah punches, he blocks the atomic drop and clotheslines Bron. LA makes the mistake of letting Bron go off the ropes and Bron hits the 23 mph Breakkerline. Some shoulderblocks in the corner, LA placed up top. LA crossbodies off the middle rope for two. Sunset flip gets two for LA but Bron sends him down. Left yeah punches by Knight, then he stomps him in the corner before hitting the Panic Attack. LA dropkicks Bron on the floor, Bronson stares him down as we go to commercial.

Bron is in control when we return. Bron hits a high knee in the corner, and we see Bron drop LA on the announce desk during commercial. LA kicks Bron on a backdrop attempt, but Bron does hit the backdrop to the floor. Bron starts running and hits a flying shoulder tackle. Back in the ring, a cover gets two. Bron hits the chinlock. Knight fights out and hits some Yeah punches. Flying clothesline by Knight. Jumping neckbreaker, then a jumping elbowdrop. BFT is blocked by Bron, who hits another knee. Bron places LA up top and goes for a superplex. LA knocks him off, Bron goes up for the Frankensteiner but Knight slips out and Bron drops face first on the turnbuckle. LA places Bron in position for the superplex, he gets knocked off, so he jumps to the top rope and superplexes Bron for two. These guys got some hops! Who says white men can’t jump? Bronson gets on the apron, LA knocks him off and still avoids the Bron spear, which hits the ringpost instead, Bronson eats a flying clothesline and Bron gets his head slammed into the announce desk repeatedly. Heyman tries to sneak around, back in the ring, Bron gorilla presses Knight but Knight falls into a reverse DDT. LA goes for the jumping top rope elbow drop, but Bron pops up and spears him instead! That ends the match.

Winner: Bron Breakker (10:32 shown via pinfall)
Match Rating: ***
It’s fun to watch Bron evolve every week on his road to being a ten-time WrestleMania main eventer or however many times he plans on doing it. Two guys with different career paths here, as LA’s been around a lot longer and is also still looking for his big moment. Maybe they’ll both get it one of these days.

Adam Pearce exits his office to look for Dirty Dom. He finds Dom with the Americanos. Dom explains to Pearce how Rusev & Penta will go after the Americanos now, since the Americanos attacked them all on their own, with no suggestion from anyone else. Pearce instead books a Triple Threat match for the IC title at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Jey & Jimmy meet again, and Jey tells him he loves him and that’ll never change. It’s still not Jey’s fault, he’s got a lot on his mind and he doesn’t have a lot of real estate left. They hug, of course. Twins not getting along just isn’t cool, you know? I’m sure this is all nothing to worry about.

JD McDonagh (w/Finn Balor) vs. Sheamus: Sheamus has taken to carrying a shillelagh with him to the ring, which I’m not sure is a great idea with Balor at ringside. JD gets smacked down in the corner, but Sheamus runs into a boot. Doesn’t matter, Sheamus backdrops him into the lights. Body slam by Sheamus, who is in complete control of his smaller opponent. JD tries to fight back, evades some clotheslines, flips out of a back suplex attempt and chop blocks Sheamus. JD walks all over Sheamus, then Sheamus clotheslines him outside. Finn is close but just watches as they go back to the ring. JD trips Sheamus and hits a corkscrew splash over the ropes for one. Sheamus drops JD to the apron, but the 10 Beats are interrupted by Finn yanking JD away. Sheamus clotheslines them both on the floor as we go to commercial.

We return and JD has Sheamus in the chinlock. Sheamus lifts JD to his shoulders and smashes him in a corner before just dropping him to the mat, but JD keeps that hold on. Tumbling over the top rope breaks the hold, but JD lands on the apron, hits a PK and then the Asai moonsault. JD up top, hits a 450 splash for two. JD with some kicks to Sheamus. Sheamus wants some more. JD gives him more, then gets clotheslined. Irish Curse by Sheamus. Sheamus sends JD to the apron, but JD evades and gets a rollup for two. Sheamus with a Finlay roll, then sends him to the apron for 10 Beats. Well, 14. I don’t remember the last time Sheamus settled for 10. JD hits the big knee on Sheamus instead of getting Brogue kicked, then cradles him for two. Sheamus gets JD into position and hits the Celtic Cross! Finn puts JD’s foot on the rope. Sheamus goes outside and Finn backs towards the shillelagh. Finn gets it, but Sheamus knees him instead. Sheamus goes for the Celtic Cross on Finn, but JD breaks that up only to get bounced off the announce desk. Sheamus sends JD into the barrier and back into the ring. Finn hits Sheamus with the shillelagh! JD follows Sheamus up top and hits a Spanish Fly! That gets the win for JD!

Winner: JD McDonagh (11:07 shown via pinfall)
Match Rating: ***
Like the earlier match with Roxanne & Nikki, Sheamus had nothing to gain by beating JD and JD got to raise his profile with a win over a future Hall of Famer. Yeah, there was a little cheating involved, but you’ll have that.

Last week, Becky Lynch got jobbed by official Jessika Carr during her match with Maxxine Dupri. Adam Pearce tells Maxxine that she’s earned another title shot, and Maxxine is grateful for the opportunity. She doesn’t want it to go to waste, she needs to call a friend and make sure she’s ready for whatever comes her way. Pearce says Maxxine can call him whenever she’s ready.

JACKIE REDMOND talks to Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss about accepting the challenge tonight. Alexa says that they don’t back down from any challenges. Charlotte says they’re two wins away from having the most Women’s Tag Team Championship defenses in history. Asuka & Kairi come in and Asuka talks about how they deserve the titles. Charlotte says she’s beaten Asuka a lot, and she & Alexa would be honored to face them. Asuka storms off, Kairi opens her umbrella and gets yelled at. Two appearances from Jackie tonight, WWE obviously got the memo.

Joe & Wade run down the SNME card. CM Punk vs. Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship! Dirty Dom vs. Penta vs. Rusev for the IC Title! Tiffany Stratton defends the WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill! Cody Rhodes defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre! I’m pretty sure I agreed to review that show, Jeremy will remind me if I did or not.

AJ Styles & Dragon Lee are with Adam Pearce. Styles mentions how 2026 will be his last year, and they want to face any challengers as soon as possible. Finn (w/Sheamus’s shillelagh) & JD appear and want their rematch. Pearce isn’t obliged to give it to them, but Styles & Dragon are up for it. Dragon says he is the heat & the fire, and next week they’ll show that they’re unstoppable. Pearce agrees to it since AJ wants it.

We see a spinning poker chip with 2026 on it. I can not confirm or deny if it’s cryptic.

Next Monday: AJ/Dragon vs. Finn/JD! Stephanie/Nikki vs. Roxanne/Raquel!

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria: Alicia Taylor with the skull-themed attire for Halloween Week makes the super special introductions for this one. Bliss & Bayley start us off. Bliss tries to end things early with a rollup, then a quick tag to Charlotte, who works over Bayley before tagging Bliss back in. Bliss with some dropkicks to Bayley. Lyra & Charlotte tag in. They do some chain wrestling, Charlotte cartwheels out of the arm wringer, takes Lyra down as the Fire Flies are out in Anaheim. Lyra with a cartwheel of her own, she takes Charlotte down, misses in the corner and Charlotte kicks her. Chop sends Lyra down. Charlotte with the Flair Flip! Lyra & Bayley both get boots, but it’s Lyra sending Charlotte to the floor with some kicks. Lyra with woos of her own before hitting the dropkick through the ropes. Bayley & Lyra high five as we go to commercial.

Lyra locks Alexa in the rocking horse as we return, then rolls her up for two. Bliss tries to fight out of the Bayley/Lyra corner, but Lyra drags her back to keep the tag from happening. Double team move from Bayley & Lyra gets two. Bliss goes for a double DDT and hits it! Flair finally gets the tag, and she goes up top for the double crossbody! Chops for Bayley & Lyra! Front handspring into a clothesline on Lyra! Bayley gets suplexed. Charlotte sets them both up for a moonsault, and it hits! Cover on Lyra gets two! Bayley is booted to the floor, Lyra spinning heel kicks Charlotte. Bayley yells for the tag, she seems a bit more intense. Bayley comes in, hits the knee, boots Charlotte into the ring and drops the elbow. Alexa gets kicked off the apron. Bayley runs into a boot from Charlotte, but hits her with the Bayley to Belly for two! Bliss tags in, Bayley didn’t see it and still works with Charlotte. Lyra makes the blind tag and hits the legdrop on Charlotte! Alexa comes in and hits the Sister Abigail DDT on Lyra, but Bayley breaks up the count! Alexa goes up top, Lyra catches her! Lyra hits the Nightwing, but Charlotte breaks up the count! Charlotte wants a tag! She & Bayley get tags, and it turns into a strike exchange! Chops from Bayley! Bayley runs into a big boot! Charlotte sets up the Figure 8! It’s in! Lyra keeps Bayley from tapping out! Alexa hits Twisted Bliss on Lyra to break it all up! Charlotte & Alexa look at each other and hit Bayley & Lyra with the double Natural Selection! The champions retain!

Winners: Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss (11:41 shown via pinfall)
Match Rating: ***1/2
Solid main event matchup here with two fun tag teams. Flair & Bliss have found another level during this recent run and it’s a good thing to keep going. Bayley & Lyra’s turmoil continues, and maybe we’ll see more interaction between Bayley and some of her former friends soon…

Before we can go through the replays, Asuka & Kairi hit the ring and attack Charlotte & Alexa! Charlotte gets the assisted Insane Elbow! Bayley gets them away from Lyra, and Asuka & Kairi exit the ring. Asuka & Kairi do a little dance on the stage, Alexa & Charlotte are laid out, Bayley checks on Lyra and our live event comes to an end.

This was a good episode of Raw to set us up for Saturday Night's Main Event and continue many of the pressing issues for the Superstars on this show. It looks like we'll get to see more of Charlotte & Alexa since Asuka & Kairi are challenging them, and I'm all for that. The booking made sense, we got more Jackie on our screens, no there's not much to complain about this week. What's up with those feet I heard about all day though?
