The Shield Talks: Ambrose says they are the workhorses of WWE and may have lost battles, but never lost a war. Reigns says the IC & Universal tiles are the keys to the kingdom. Rollins says the Shield is all about being the best, which is with Strowman got himself a pack of jackasses to try and take them out. They are here and want to show Corbin how much of an issue can be. Corbin arrives and praises Stephanie, and says he and his partners will take care of business tonight. He adds that the locker room hates The Shield. Braun, Dolph, & Drew arrive. Braun tells Reigns to shine his belt up for him. He can see the cracks in the Shield already forming and that they will implode at WWE Super Show-Down. Braun says the Shield will face the four of them, teasing that Ambrose is seeing the light because he doesn’t need the Shield. Dolph stirs the pot, noting that Ambrose was WWE champion on his own, but now has nothing. Drew then praises Ambrose, and says Roman & Seth don’t appreciate Ambrose and that he deserves more. They continue to explain how the Shield uses Ambrose and that he gets nothing while they get everything. Seth & Roman are champions, and “Dean is just a sucker.” Dolph then talks about how The Shield kept replacing Ambrose without a second thought. Reigns tells Dolph to shut up and says no one wants to hear Dolph talk. Corbin calls off Braun & the boys and says that it isn’t happening. Corbin says he and his partners will deal with the Shield. I liked this, the heels presented a quality case to Ambrose, which is either planting seeds for a turn or just making us think that.

Finn Balor vs. Jinder Mahal: Bayley & Alicia Fox are at ringside in this Mixed Match Challenge tie in. They lock up and Mahal overpowers Balor to begin. The slam follows and Mahal then grounds the action. Mahal controls, but Balor fights out and gets run over by a shoulder tackle. Balor picks up the pace and hits a dropkick and then dumps Mahal to the floor. The tope follows. Post break, and Mahal takes back control. Mahal attacks with knee drops, and locks on an abdominal stretch. Balor escapes and hits a basement dropkick. Balor picks up the pace, hits a standing double stomp, but Mahal cuts him off with a kick. Balor hits the enziguri as Fox accidentally distracted Mahal. Singh trips up Balor, allowing Mahal to maintain control. Bayley then trips up Mahal, and she brawls with Fox. Bayley now hits a Bayley to belly on Singh. Balor then rolls up a distracted Mahal for the win. Finn Balor defeated Jinder Mahal @ 9:55 via pin [**] This was an ok opener, designed to hype Mixed Match Challenge.

– Post match, Mahal berates Singh, as Mahal and Fox are united.

Natalya, Nikki, & Brie Bella vs. Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, & Sarah Logan: Liv & Nikki to begin. Liv takes control until Nikki runs her over with a shoulder tackle and hits a back breaker for 2. Brie tags in and the Bellas work double teams and Brie covers for 2. Brie lays in yes kicks, and the cover gets 2. Liv got fucking rocked (Brie kicked her HARD in the face twice), could barely get to her feet, and had to toll to the floor. Brie runs wild on Ruby until Logan runs in. All six are in and the faces hit a triple suplex. Liv looks to have recovered thankfully. The Riott Squad takes control. Post break, and Logan takes control on Brie. Liv isn’t on the apron any longer and has been taken to the back. Brie battles back, Ruby tags in and cuts off the tag. They work into a double down, wholesale changes to Natalya & Logan and Natalya runs wild until Ruby makes the save. Natalya gets the sharpshooter, but Ruby blind tags in and hits the Riott kick for the win. Riott Squad defeated Natalya, Nikki, & Brie Bella @ 10:30 via pin [*] It wasn’t good prior to Liv’s injury, but became even more disjointed after that as they couldn’t adapt from the initial layout and it largely fell apart.

– Now playing the part of Low Ki, Brie Bella…

– Stephanie & Triple H are out for this week’s Pediatric Cancer segment.

– Dan Ambrose is thinking as Dolph Ziggler arrives and says he was saying the truth in the opening segment. He tries to stir the pot again and wants Dean to give him the signal during the main event.

Chad Gable vs. Konnor: Viktor & Roode are at ringside. Konnor attacks at the bell and overpowers Gable, tossing him around with ease. Gable finally fights back with the Suzuki hanging arm bar and a missile dropkick to the knee. Gable runs wild, hits a German, and that gets 2. Gable misses the moonsault, lands on his feet, and Konnor runs him over and hits the rack slam for the win. Konnor defeated Chad Gable @ 2:40 via pin [NR] This was WEEK FOUR of Roode & Gable vs. The Ascension in some form. And after three weeks of Gable winning, he loses to Konnor. I mean, Konnor…

– Stephanie & Triple H are leaving and Triple His asked about Taker’s comments from last week. Triple H says Taker has already lost and adds that he sold his soul a long time ago. Taker’s end is near.

Raw Tag Team Title Match: Champions Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler vs. The Revival: The Revival get the “already in the ring” treatment. Dolph & Dawson to begin. Dawson lays in chops and tags in Dash but Drew tags in and takes control. The champions work quick tags and double teams until Dash cuts off Dolph and tags in Dawson as they work double teams. The northern lights suplex gets 2. Dash back in and takes control, covering for 2. Dash now locks on a rings of Saturn, but Dolph cradles him for 2. They spill to the floor. Dash misses a charge and runs into the steps. Dolph back in and tags in Drew. He lays the boots to Dash, hits a suplex, and covers for 2. Post break and Dolph tries to cutoff the tag, but Dawson gets it and fires up with strikes. Dawson dumps Drew and hits the tiger driver on Dolph for 2. Dawson takes Dolph up top, follows him up and Dash tags in and they hit the power and glory for 2. Dash DDTs Drew on the floor and backslides Dolph for 2. They blow a fameasser counter spot but the Revival hit a doomsday device for 2. The crowd was into that one. The Revival look for more double teams and Drew tags in and takes control, dumps Dawson, and catches Dash but Dawson flies in with a dropkick and Dash covers for 2.Drew hits a head butt and big boot; the claymore/zigzag finishes it. Champions Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler defeated The Revival @ 12:45 via pin [***½] This was a very good back and forth match, with the Revival digging deep into the tag team bag of tricks to try and take the titles before finally losing.

– They hype John Cena’s return at WWE Super Show-Down.

The Kevin Owens Show: Elias is here to play a tune, but then says Denver doesn’t deserve it. Owens thanks Elias and says he’s his biggest fan. Owens reminds us that he beat Can his first night in WWE. Owens now talks about Lashley & Rush, and the issues from last week, and he’s giving Rush a chance to come on his show. Rush arrives and thanks them for the invite. Owens wants him to come to the ring and have a seat. Rush says he and Lashley made them look bad last week and knows Owens’ plan. He’s going to stay on the stage, but Owens produces a booster seat for Rush. Rush brings out Lashley.

Elias vs. Lashley: Rush & Owens are at ringside. Lashley overpowers Elias to begin. Elias cuts Lashley of and grounds the action. Lashley fights out and hits a shoulder tackle. Lashley follows with a cross body and then lays in rights. The side slam follows and Lashley covers for 2. Lashley then catches a high cross, but Elias slips out and chop blocks the knee. Elias follows with knee strikes, and then posts Lashley’s knee; Elias covers for 2. Elias continues to attack the knee and grounds Lashley. Lashley fires back and dumps Elias to the floor. He follows and works over Elias. Elias cuts him off. Post break, and Elias is working a half crab. Lashley escapes and dumps Elias. Back in and Lashley hits the flatliner. They trade strikes, Lashley hits a clothesline, and follows with a delayed suplex. Lashley sets and spars Elias through the ropes and to the floor. Owens chases Rush and then runs over Lashley for the DQ. Lashley defeated Elias @ 13:10 via pin [**¼] This was an ok match with a completely flat finish. I get why they did it, to continue the feud, but it didn’t come off very well.

– Post match, Lashley saves Rush and takes out Owens. I love the Rush & Lashley pairing, but constantly reminding fans he needs saved and “can’t compete” with the big guys basically classifies him as a child.

– Rollins meets with Drew and says Dolph & Braun are using Drew and that Drew is the real talent of the group while Dolph & Braun are getting all of the singles title chances. More mind games.

Nia Jax vs. Alicia Fox: Moon, Bliss, & James are at ringside. Fox tries to run but Jax catches her and starts tossing her around. Fox bails and Moon takes out James. Back in and Fox takes control and covers for 2. Fox grounds the action, Jax escapes, but Fox cuts her off with kicks (the looked as if they missed badly), and covers for 2. Jax fights back and hits the Samoan drop for 2. Nia Jax defeated Alicia Fox @ 2:55 via pin [NR] It was short, but still managed to be no good at all.

– Drew meets with Ambrose about his meeting with Rollins and all of tonight’s mind games.

– We get a hype video for Triple H vs. Undertaker at WWE Super Show-Down.

– Shawn Michaels will be on Raw next week.

– Braun, Dolph, & Drew arrive with chairs to sit and watch the main event.

Baron Corbin & The AOP vs. The Shield (Rollins, Ambrose, & Reigns): Drake Maverick is at ringside. This has some potential. Ambrose & Corbin to begin, Ambrose takes control and tags in Rollins for double teams. Akem tags in and Rollins tags in Ambrose and they take down Akem, but Rezar blind tagged in and cut them off. Reigns tags in and thy brawl until Rezar slams Reigns to the buckles and beats him down. Reigns fights back with a clothesline, but Rezar pops backup and all six face off and brawl as the Shield clears the ring. Braun & crew distract the Shield, allowing the heels to attack and Corbin hits a sloppy chokebreaker on Reigns for 2. Post break, and Reigns hits a Samoan drop on Corbin. Wholesale changes to Rollins and Akem. Rollins runs wild and hits the blockbuster for 2. Maverick takes the ref, allowing Corbin to dump Rollins. Corbin tags in and slams Rollins to the barricade. Back in and Rezar tags back in and grounds Rollins. Akem tags in and AOP hit a double team stomp and that gets 2. Akem grounds things, Rollins fights but gets cut off. Corbin tags back in and slows the pace. Corbin knocks Reigns to the floor, angering Ambrose. Rollins hits a sling blade, but Ambrose gets pulled to the floor and Reigns then gets taken out. AOP double teams Reigns with the last chapter on the floor. Corbin hits deep six on Rollins for 2. The heels work quick tags, but Rollins fights off the AOP and finally tags in Ambrose. Ambrose runs wild on Corbin, hits a lariat and then a small package for 2. He dumps Corbin and Ambrose follows with a dropkick to the floor, back in and up top, Ambrose gets cut off by Akem. Ambrose cuts off Corbin and heads back up top and hits the elbow drop for 2. Reigns & Rollins are back and clear the ring, black out to Corbin and Rollins hits dives. Dirty deeds connects on Corbin. Reigns tags in, dive by Ambrose, and Reigns spears Corbin for the win. The Shield defeated Baron Corbin & The AOP @ 19:10 via pin [***½] This ended up a very good main event, bringing back some of the fun and magic of the old Shield six-man tags. The AOP looked good, and Corbin smartly took the fall.

– Ambrose is on the floor for a long time and looks towards Braun, Dolph, & Drew before returning to the ring for a proper fisting.

Next eek:Lashley vs. Owens & Rousey vs. Riott.

– End scene.

– Thanks for reading.

The final score: review Not So Good
The 411
For the most part, this week’s episode of WWE Raw was more of the same as usual; A bit of Super Show-Down hype and then largely a lot of nothing. The best parts and the ones worth watching was the show long angle with Ambrose, the tag title match, and then the main event.
