Details on Why Peyton Royce & Billie Kay Changed Their Group Name
April 12, 2018 | Posted by

– It appears that Peyton Royce and Billie Kay changed their “Iconic Duo” name due to trademark issues. The US Trademark and Patent Office site shows that the name “Iconic Duo” is registered to Iconic Duo LLC, a company that has the mark registered for clothing including athletic footwear, headwear, hats, t-shirts and more.
The trademark was filed on June 9th, 2017 but was just recently published for opposition. Due to the nature of the trademark’s intended goods and services, WWE likely would not be able to produce merchandise for Royce and Kay under that name. As such, they are now known as the “IIconics.”
The duo made their debut on this week’s Smackdown, attacking Charlotte Flair.
