Dolph Ziggler’s Brother Pleads Guilty To Involuntary Manslaughter
Cleveland.com reports that Donald Nemeth, the brother of Nick ‘Dolph Ziggler’ Nemeth, pleaded guilty yesterday to the 2016 death of Marine Corps veteran Joshua Mascol during a drug robbery gone bad at the University Hotel and Suites on Euclid Avenue in Cleveland. Nemeth (30) and Jack King (52) both pleaded guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter, aggravated robbery and kidnapping. Both will be sentenced on August 28 by Judge Shannon Gallagher in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Nemeth was told to wear an ankle monitor during home arrest until he’s sentenced.
Both Nemeth and King were set for a trial on Monday for charges like aggravated murder, facing life sentences if found guilty. Cuyahoga County prosecutors asked the judge to forbid lawyers from mentioning Dolph Ziggler, during a trial. Assistant Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Zachary Humphrey said that their relationship had no relevance to the case and mentioning Dolph would take the attention of the jury away from the evidence. Attorneys for Nemeth and King asked for separate trials, as they blamed each other for the crimes. The defense said they couldn’t defend themselves if tried together.
The two tried to rob Mascol during a drug deal. After a fight started, Mascol was shot three times in the hallway. Hotel surveillance cameras identified the suspects, who were arrested and charged in May of last year.
