PWInsider reports that Edge has been removed from WWE’s internal roster as his contract with the company expires on Saturday. He is still listed on the WWE.com roster at this time, but isn’t believed to be staying with the company.

He wrestled his last match in August against Sheamus on Smackdown, which was said to be the last one on his contract. At the time, he downplayed rumors that he would be leaving and said he had an extension waiting if he chose to sign it.

It was reported earlier this month that Edge was removed from the internal roster, but he was added back hours later on the miscellaneous list (wrestlers who are injured or not part of the regular roster). He’s no longer listed.

AEW has been interested in Edge since 2019, which reportedly led to WWE clearing him to returning at the 2020 Royal Rumble. He will be free to go where he wants on Sunday, which is the same day as AEW’s WrestleDream PPV.
