Elias Rumored to Have Been Up for Intercontinental Title Run

– According to an online rumor tweeted out today by the WrestleVotes Twitter account, there was apparently a plan for Elias to win the Intercontinental title that appears to have been abandoned or scrapped by WWE. You can check out the tweet on the subject from the WrestleVotes account below.

Previously, Elias was feuding with former Intercontinental champion Lashley a while back. However, after Lashley won the belt, he began a feud with Finn Balor, who eventually won the title from Lashley by defeating Lio Rush in a handicap match. The Drifter is yet to win a WWE title since he joined the company.
