In a promo posted to social media, Ethan Page sent Mustafa Ali a message ahead of their match at NXT vs. TNA Showdown tomorrow. The two are set to battle for the NXT North American championship, a title shot Ali technically earned two years ago.
Page said: “Mustafa Ali versus Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship. There’s a big fight feeling there, something we’re both very used to, and on Tuesday, we’ll do what we both do best. But me, I’ll continue to prove I’m the greatest North American alive. But you, well, it’s a different story, isn’t it? You must have some confusion in your delusion. Better yet, let’s call it an illusion, cause that’s all this is, a grand illusion. You’ve managed to trick everyone into thinking you’re what’s best for the NXT North American Championship. Sir, this championship represents three countries that I actually care about and a bunch more. If you truly believe you’re the one, let’s look over your resume. Failure, after failure, after failure. You may believe you’re cursed, but I believe, you, as North American champion, is the true curse. Please continue to dominate TNA, Mustafa. I wish you well in all of these future endeavors of yours. But maybe the WWE never gave you that title match because you weren’t the right man for the job. That’s why they called me. I am the greatest North American champion of all time, and truly what’s best for this championship.”
