First Street Fighter Sneak Peek Reveals Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns & More

Paramount Pictures and Legendary Pictures showed off the first look at their Street Fighter movie on Thursday, revealing our first looks at the characters including Cody Rhodes as Guile, Roman Reigns as Akuma and more. The two studios premiered the first-look teaser at the Game Awards and you can check it out below.

The new take is clearly not worried about a grounded approach as was taken in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. Rhodes has a massive flat-top as Guile, David Dastmalchian is in game-authentic M. Bison gear, Reigns has the full Akuma look and more. You can also see NJPW star Hirooki Goto as E. Honda. The studio also released character posters, some of which you can see below.

The film is directed by Kitao Sakurai and stars Noah Centineo as Ken, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Reigns as Akuma, Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Rhodes as Guile, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Eric André as Don Sauvage, 50 Cent as Balrog, and Jason Momoa as Blanka. Also starring are Orville Peck as Vega, Olivier Richters as Zangief, Goto as E. Honda, Rayna Vallandingham as Juli, Alexander Volkanovski as Joe, Kyle Mooney as Marvin, and Mel Jarnson as Cammy.

The film, a Legendary Pictures Production in association with Capcom, releases on October 16th, 2026. The synopsis reads:

Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!
