Super kick by Ziggler to Barrett and it’s time for the CESARO SWING~!!!! Tag to Neville and he goes up. Red Arrow by Neville gets 3.
Winners- Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro, and Neville *** ( Good pre-show match but nothing we haven’t seen before from any of these guys. Cesaro was the standout, showing incredible fire and having the crowd in the palm of his hand, showing that he continues the most criminally underused member of the roster. )

WWE US Championship- John Cena © vs. ???
Zeb Colter makes his return and talks about Cena being a divider, so now it’s time for everyone to come together from different walks of life. He introduces Cena’s opponent…ALBERTO DEL RIO!!!!! Rio begins to control Cena and work the arm and he goes to jump on him in the ropes but misses and crashes all the way to the floor. Five Knuckle Shuffle by Cena and he goes for the AA but Del Rio counters into the back stabber. Basement super kick by Del Rio gets 3!!!!
Winner and NEW WWE US Champion- Alberto Del Rio *** (Good opener. It wasn’t a blow away match but I loved the idea that Cena was thrown off his game by his returning rival and Alberto decisively beat him. It immediately makes Del Rio strong on his return and sets up another easy redemption story for Cena when he returns. )

Seth Rollins continues to claim Corporate and Demon Kane are the same person and he declares Corporate Kane will be out of a job by tomorrow night. Corporate Kane wishes Rollins good luck, as he’ll need it.

Video package for Reigns/Wyatt airs.

Wyatt puts a kendo stick in the corner and goes to drive him into it but Reigns blocks and returns the favor. Spear by Reigns gets 3.
Winner- Roman Reigns ***1/2 ( This was a good brawl to blow off the feud but it wasn’t anything we haven’t seen a bunch of times before. This didn’t need to be in Hell in a Cell, as they barely used the cage and resorted to more weapons based brawling. Reigns got a strong blow off victory and looked like a killer slaying Wyatt for good, so this was well booked and work but it just lacked that extra something to put it over the top. )

WWE Tag Team Championships- New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) © vs. Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley)
Kofi and D-Von start. Back elbow by D-Von and he hits a flapjack. Diving head butt by D-Von gets 2 and Bubba tags in. They over power Kofi and Bubba tosses Kofi off the top as he attempts to go up. Big splash by Big E gets 2. Tag to Kofi and New Day looks for What’s up but D-Von is able to toss Kofi away. Bubba cleans house and he slams Big E. D-Von goes up and they connect with WHAT’S UP~!!!! Kofi catches the Dudleys with a double missile dropkick and he tosses the trombone at Bubba and sells it like Bubba nailed him!!! The ref almost calls for the bell but he decides not to make the call, so Kofi flips!!! Bubba breaks the trombone and the Dudleys catch Kofi with a back suplex/neckbreaker combo for 2. Big E nails Bubba from behind with the trombone and Kofi catches him with Trouble in Paradise for 3.
Winners and Still WWE Tag Team Champions- New Day **1/2 ( Probably the best match of their series but that’s not saying much. The action was decent but the crowd wasn’t all that into the Dudley Boyz and they seemed to have lost all their steam from their return. I enjoyed the New Day resorting to new tactics to steal a win with the absence of Xavier Woods and I’m glad they’re going to continue their run as champs. )

Video package for Charlotte/Nikki Bella airs.

WWE Diva’s Championship- Charlotte © vs. Nikki Bella
Standing neck breaker by Charlotte and she hits some punches in the corner. Hurricanrana by Charlotte and she pounds Nikki on the mat. Nikki is able to get to the ropes to break!!! Nikki pulls Charlotte to the floor and SHE HITS THE ALABAMA SLAM ONTO THE APRON!!!! Back in, Charlotte rolls through the Rack Attack into the Figure-8!!! Nikki taps!!!
Winner and Still WWE Diva’s Champion- Charlotte ***1/2 (Where the hell did this come from?!?!? Easily the best non NXT Diva’s match this year. Nikki brought the intensity early and worked on the back of Charlotte to try and prevent the Figure-8 but Charlotte withstood and was able to lock it in just long enough to force the tap. They worked their ass off here and this is what I want to see from the main roster Divas. )

Dean Ambrose congratulates Roman Reigns on the win and they both know what’s in store next.

Video package for Rollins/Kane airs.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship- Seth Rollins © vs. Kane

They head onto the announce table and Rollins escapes a Chokeslam in order to powerbomb Kane onto the other announce table!!! Back in, Rollins hits an enzuigiri from the apron and he hits a springboard knee strike to Kane. Rollins goes up and he hits a second flying knee strike. Basement super kicks by Rollins and he goes up. Frog Splash by Rollins gets 2!!! Pedigree by Rollins gets 3.
Winner and Still WWE World Heavyweight Champion- Seth Rollins ***1/2 (This was similar in quality to the Sting match for me, where Rollins just worked his ass off to get one more solid performance out of Kane. He took Kane’s best shot and just took total control at the end and finished him off for good. After months of poor booking, this was the strongest Rollins’ has looked in some time and hopefully they kept it up going forward, as he has been fantastic despite the crap they put him in. )

WWE Intercontinental Championship- Kevin Owens © vs. Ryback
They brawl on the floor to start and back in, Ryback hits a back elbow. Backdrop by Ryback and he hits a delayed suplex. Ryback misses a charge in the corner and Owens throws some head butts. Winner and Still WWE Intercontinental Champion- Kevin Owens **1/4 (This was your short changed special where they had to pack a ten minute match into half the time, so you couldn’t get invested in what they did because they have to stuff so much at you at once. One of the weaker Kevin Owens performances to date but it was out of his control. )

Video package for Lesnar/Taker airs.

Hell in a Cell- Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman vs. The Undertaker
Rights by Taker but Brock ends that with some shots to the ribs. Shoulders to the gut in the corner by Lesnar but Taker comes back with a clothesline. Taker dumps Lesnar to the floor to block a German suplex and Taker is sent into the cell by Lesnar. Taker shoves Lesnar into the post and Lesnar is busted open. Taker works over the wound of Lesnar and he tosses Lesnar into the cell. Back in, Lesnar catches Taker with a spinebuster. Lesnar nails Taker a few times with a chair and they bring a doctor into the ring to check on the cut. Lesnar continues to pound Taker with the chair and he sends Taker into the cell. Lesnar goes for a suplex on the floor but Taker blocks and reverses into one of his own!!! Back in, Taker drives Lesnar’s throat into a chair!!! Taker covers for 2!!! Taker rakes the face of Lesnar and Lesnar comes back with a release German suplex. Lesnar hits two more and he hits the F-5 for 2!!! The doctor now checks the cut of both men so LESNAR SENDS HIM FLYING TO HIT ANOTHER F-5 ON TAKER FOR 2!!!! Lesnar nails Taker with the steel steps for 2. Lesnar goes to drive the steps into Taker but Taker was able to move at the last second. He tries it again but Taker is able to kick both Lesnar and the steps away. Hells Gate by Taker but Lesnar is able to pound his way out of it. Lesnar starts to tear the canvas apart and exposed the wood boards that support the ring. TAKER CATCHES LESNAR WITH A CHOKESLAM ONTO THE EXPOSED BOARDS!!!! Tombstone by Taker gets 2!!! Lesnar goes low on Taker and he hits the F-5 on the exposed boards for 3!!!
Winner- Brock Lesnar ****1/4 (Awesome blow off to their feud. It was great to have a bloody, brutal war that didn’t resort to the usual tropes that the Hell in a Cell matches usually had. They just had a flat out war where they beat each other to a pope and the tougher man came out on top. Easily the best match in their series and a worth sequel to their classic cell match 13 years ago. )

Undertaker gets a standing ovation after the match but the Wyatt Family comes out!!!! It’s a 4 on 1 beat down of Taker and they carry him out to end the show.

7.5
The final score: review Good
The 411
This was a really good show. It one of the few WWE PPVs this year that I felt was meaningfull at the end I had a bright outlook for where they are going over the next few months. A majority of the summer feuds were finally blown off and in almost every case, the right person came out the victory. Coming out of this show everything feels fresh again and we now have tons of open directions as we begin the shift toward WrestleMania season. Undertaker continues to prove that he still has magical performances in him, as he and Brock Lesnar had an excellent second encouter in Undertaker's signature match. The rest of show top to bottom is filled with solid wrestling and I'm now excited to see where we are going heading into Survivor Series. This show is an easy recommendation, make sure to check it out.
