“Jungle” Jack Perry may have come up short in AEW’s Continental Classic, but he found his way into contention for another singles championship last Saturday night.
The Worlds End Zero Hour show featured an eight-man tag team match pitting Perry, Luchasaurus & Jet Speed against Josh Alexander & the Demand. Richochet, the leader of the Demand, was pinned by Perry to end the match. Afterward, Jack Perry was granted a shot at Ricochet’s National Championship this Wednesday night on AEW’s New Year’s Smash.
Perry had the following words for Ricochet via an AEW digital exclusive:
"I pinned you, and I think I could do it again very soon."

“Ricochet, you and your goons attacked me and Luchasaurus before we could even get to the ring. He’s in the doctor’s office right now healing up. In our very first time in the ring together, you know what happened right there? I pinned you. I think I could do it again very soon, but this time for your National Championship.”
Jack Perry replaced Darby Allin in the Continental Classic and was in contention to make the semifinals up until his loss to Kyle Fletcher on last week’s Collision. While he’s coming off a loss, Perry certainly impressed in that effort. We’ll see if Perry can add another singles championship to his collection this Wednesday night on AEW Dynamite, which will air at its normal time of 8/7 Central on TBS.
