Karrion Kross appeared on the Ariel Helwani Show today and discussed a variety of topics including his departure from WWE and the speculation surrounding it. As previously posted, Kross said that WWE gave him 24 hours to accept their offer, and when he didn’t, they rescinded the offer. Kross went on to reveal that WWE did not make a contract offer to Scarlett, and noted that he did not get to talk to Triple H and that WWE instead assigned a rep to deal with him. He also confirmed that he is now a free agent. Highlights of Kross’ comments are below.
On if he’s now free to join another promotion today: “Yes.”
On if the speculation around his status has caused other promotions to not reach out: “I’ve been told through people, like, ‘Hey, what’s actually going on, they’re telling me that people are concerned about making contact, but at the end of the day, I’m not trying to turn this into a game. It’s not a game, it’s my life. I’m very big on loyalty, everyone knows that, but loyalty is a two way street. WWE has given me an amazing opportunity in the past to change our lives. I’ve talked about working at NXT during the pandemic, people in my family getting laid off, they have no idea how they’re going to make their mortgage, I was able to take over their mortgage. I’m very interested in trying to recover what I think is something that is easily recoverable, but it takes two people to come together and talk about it. I’m still here.”
