Former WWE host Kayla Braxton has publicly urged the company to remove Donald Trump from the Hall of Fame. Her comments came in an Instagram post, in which she referenced the Epstein files and called for WWE to address Trump’s status directly.
Braxton worked with WWE for approximately eight years before departing in June 2024. During her tenure, she served as a backstage interviewer, host of digital programming, and co-host of The Bump. Since leaving, she has become more outspoken on social and political topics, something she previously avoided while under contract with the company.
On her Instagram stories, Kayla Braxton noted that Donald Trump was inducted into the celebrity wing in 2013, during a period when WWE maintained a business relationship with him through televised appearances and event partnerships. She questioned whether the company had already distanced itself privately. Her suggestion included WWE issuing an official statement if action were taken, rather than allowing speculation to continue.
“Going back to me working at WWE, and I would get in trouble when I posted like political things, because every once in a while I would get riled up. Here’s what I think WWE should do, Donald Trump, President Donald Trump, was in our WWE Hall of Fame. I don’t know if he’s still in it. They may have quietly dismissed him from that, I really don’t know. I think what WWE should do now the Epstein Files have been released and there’s like no question that that man is evil, I think they should do a publicly revoking of his Hall of Fame status. I think that would be one of the coolest, most like leadership things that they could possibly do. ‘Hey Mr Donald Trump, you are no longer in the WWE Hall of Fame.’ I want a statement, a celebration, a parade, whatever. I think they should be a leader, they should go ahead and start this. Let’s go ahead and start this,” Kayla Braxton said.
WWE is preparing for its 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony during WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas, where Stephanie McMahon is expected to headline the class. Whether the company addresses Braxton’s request remains uncertain.
