On the latest episode of Kliq This, Kevin Nash answered The Undertaker’s recent comments that the 1996 “Curtain Call” at Madison Square Garden was a selfish move that put the Kliq ahead of the business. Undertaker made the comments about the infamous moment on his Six Feet Under podcast. You can check out his comments below:

On the Curtain Call Happening Before the Internet Era:

“Yeah, but the Curtain Call — it wasn’t even during the internet era. No. ’96, man. Nobody had cell phones. The same people that were following us from town to town in Europe — like I said, we already had their money. We already had your money.”

On Undertaker Calling It Selfish:

“So even for Mark to say it was a selfish move — we went and asked Vince. It wasn’t selfish. It wasn’t to get ourselves over. I didn’t kip up and not sell the superkick. If you really watch it and watch it for what it’s worth, I take it more as jealousy that you didn’t do it.”

On the Curtain Call Defining What the Business Became:

“It became what the business became, and that carried over. I’m quite sure that when Picasso started his Cubism, it wasn’t just absolutely embraced either.”
