Legendary Luchador MS-1 Passes Away
– Pablo Fuentes Reyna, also known as MS-1, passed away today in a car accident. MS-1 was one of the original Infernales with Satanico & Espectro Jr. and is considered a legend in lucha libre. Reyna debuted under his real name in 1978 and was signed to EMLL in March, where he got the MS-1 gimmick and had a partner named MS-2, but was soon pushed on his own as a singles wrestler. He was a top heel in the company and feuded with many of the top faces before he lost a mask vs. mask match with Rayo de Jalisco Jr. in 1982. After that he switched to an “idol” gimmick to make him popular among the ladies, and had a well-known feud with Sangre Chicana that went on for over two years.
He continued on to have more singles success and grouped with Espectro Jr., & Satanico to become Los Infernales as well.
On behalf of 411, our condolences to the family, friends and fans of MS-1.
