Leon Slater Recaptures X-Division Championship At TNA Lockdown

Leon Slater is now a two-time TNA X-Division Champion as he won back the title from Cedric Alexander at TNA Lockdown. Slater faced off with Alexander for the championship at Sunday’s PPV, a Last Man Standing match that saw Slater’s previous X-Division Title reign hanging in the balance. The stipulation of the match laid out that if Slater lost, his near record-breaking reign with the title would be wiped from the company’s history books.

With the stakes high, the two faced off for a little over 13 minutes inside the steel cage. Alexander busted Slater open by throwing him into the cage early in the match, but Slater stayed in in the match and returned the favor by busting Alexander open. The finish saw Slater hit Alexander with three Lumbar Checks in a row, followed by a Swanton 450. Alexander stirred at eight but was unable to get up before the 10 count, giving Slater the win and championship.

You can see clips from the TNA Lockdown match below. Slater is now a two-time TNA X-Division Championship; his previous reign went 298 days for the second-longest reign ever. Alexander beat Slater for the title on the May 14th episode of TNA Impact, and his reign lasted 101 days.
