The Florida court has responded to the motion filed by Ludwig Kaiser on May 21, 2026.
Following Kaiser’s arrest and subsequent bail on May 20, his legal representatives filed a motion in court yesterday morning, seeking permission from the judiciary to allow their client to travel freely.
Court records [accessed by Fightful] show that the state doesn’t have an objection to the motion.
“Since the initial filing of the Motion to Travel, undersigned counsel communicated with Assistant State Attorney Shaylynne Kotch, who indicated no objection to this motion. WHEREFORE, for the foregoing reasons, the Defendant respectfully requests this Honorable Court to enter an Order allowing him to travel out of the State of Florida and internationally.”
Kaiser surrendered on Wednesday evening after an arrest warrant was issued against him for battery charges. The case dates back to the evening of April 23, when the German pro wrestler allegedly punched and threatened more violence against a man named Richard Reap. According to Reap, the incident happened after he told Ludwig and his female friend to “have some manners” after being “uncontrollably intimate” with each other in a public elevator.
Kaiser was reportedly in Mexico when an arrest warrant was issued against him. The pro wrestler immediately flew to the US to turn himself in. He was released from jail following a $1,000 bond later that night. The WWE Superstar has since pleaded “not guilty.” An event featuring him was canceled by AAA last night.
The latest update comes as a relief to Kaiser and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, as he is scheduled to compete in a Mask vs. Mask match in Mexico next Saturday.
