Mads Krugger Says Steel Plate In MLW Slaughterhouse Match Was AKIRA’s Idea

A steel plate got embedded into AKIRA’s forehead during his match with Mads Krugger at MLW Slaughterhouse, and Krugger says the spot was AKIRA’s idea. The match saw Krugger slap a steel guesset plate in place, and Krugger spoke with Fightful for a new interview where he was asked about the spot.
“You start talking with AKIRA, it’s probably AKIRA’s idea,” Krugger said. “The steel plate, you talk about the magic behind it, there is no magic behind it. We’re talking about a gusset plate. If you’re familiar with buildings and how construction works, there’s a barn behind my house, and many gusset plates are stuck in the rafters, holding 2x4s and 2x6s together. That’s what they are made to do. They’re not made to be stuck into your skull.”
Krügger defeated Akira in the match, which served as the main event of the event.
