WWE has released a fourteen-minute interview with Matt and Jeff Hardy for the WWE Network, hosted by Corey Graves. In it, Matt talks about the possibility of the Broken Universe coming to WWE, which Graves called “their shattered Matt or broken personas.” Matt said it was weird to be “regular Matt Hardy” after doing “other things”. He added that he felt as though he changed into or became that personality. He said the character is “inside him” and could be “unleashed” again.

He said: ““I definitely think there is a chance. It’s a work in progress. Unfortunately, due to legal reasons, I really can’t go into it right now but I find it very flattering and humbling that every time we come and wrestle in front of the WWE Universe, they chant and they address it and they acknowledge it. When it happens, and I’m not going to say if, when it happens, it’s going to be the most exciting thing to hit WWE programming in a long, long time. We’ve got to keep people guessing.

He also said that he loves when fans do the “delete” chants and to “please keep doing it.” He said when they have more details they can talk more about everything.

Jeff Hardy joked that he’s glad his middle name is Nero and that he loved it before but loves it even more now. Matt added: “Ladies and gentlemen, I give you my brother, comma, Nero.

Matt said that they always intended to return to the WWE and finish their careers there, and that the “stars aligned” to make it happen. Jeff said that when he left in 2009, he said it wasn’t “goodbye forever but goodbye for now,” and the fans held him to his word. Footage showed the two backstage at Wrestlemania, where Jeff said he was nervous nad Matt said the return was “the final chapter to some magnificent novel.” They also showed a happy Big Show greeting them after their match.

Matt said the return has ‘rejuvenated” their love of wrestling. The company is more mainstream now and the wrestlers are more athletic than they were when the Hardys started. He said it’s intimidating but it gives them a chance to bounce their ideas off the younger generation.

The conversation also mentioned their personal issues and how they fixed them to come out of it as better people. Matt Hardy said their children were their motivation.

Matt said they’re happy as a tag team but a day will come when they go back to their singles careers. Jeff is a former WWE Champion and Matt wants that to happen for him. He added that he likes taking risks to “evolve and change.” Jeff said he’s never been in a Hell in a Cell and “I’ve got to do that before I’m done.”

When asked about who they’d like to work with, Jeff said Roman Reigns while Matt said Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt.
