Mercedes Mone has shed one of her final titles, losing the WPW Women’s Championship during the promotion’s Fight at the Museum event. Mone battled Jody Threat at Winnipeg Pro Wrestling’s show on Tuesday, which took place at the Manitoba Museum in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
The match saw Threat pick up the victory, capturing the championship from Mone. You can see a clip of the now-former champion’s entrance below.
Mone held the title for 164 days, having defeated Threat for it at WPW Rumble In The Burt 3 in October of last year. The victory marks Threat’s third title reign.
Mone has lost several titles in recent months, including (deep breath) the AEW TBS Championship, ROH Women’s TV Championship, CMLL World Women’s Championship, RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, Queen of Southside Championship, Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship, EWA Women’s Championship (Austria), PTW Women’s Championship, BestYa Women’s Championship, the Bodyslam Women’s Championship, and now the WPW Women’s Championship. She only holds the APAC Women’s Championship and the annual Owen Hart Foundation Championship.
Mone noted earlier this month that she’s “coming home soon” to AEW. She last appeared for AEW in a vignette on the January 10th episode of AEW Collision, announcing that she would be “taking a break” after she lost the TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale. AEW Dynamite and Collision takes place at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg tomorrow. To be clear, there is no confirmation that Mone will be appearing at the taping.
