AEW celebrated Mother’s Day today with a little video with Mike Bailey, Willow Nightingale and more talking about their moms’ reactions to their becoming pro wrestlers. Today is Mother’s Day in the US and the company posted the video to their YouTube account and social media.

In addition to Bailey and Nightingale, Adam Copeland and Dax Harwood spoke about their mothers’ support of their careers. You can see their comments below:

Mike Bailey:

“So, I never had to actually tell my mother I was going to be a professional wrestler, because as soon as my brothers and I took our mattresses off our beds and started giving each other suplexes on them, she knew.”

Adam Copeland:

“Yeah, I think like any mother, there was some concern. But it was always like, ‘Please don’t break your nose and try and keep your teeth.’ So far, I have.”

Dax Harwood:

“The first time my mom ever saw me as a wrestler live, she came to the show at the event. And I was outside fighting the guy outside of the ring, and the guy hit me. And I moved away to get away from the hit, and all of a sudden I didn’t feel any more hits. And I turned around to look and my mom was on his back choking him and punching him in the side of the head.”

Willow Nightingale:

“Nobody wants their princess to grow up and become a pro wrestler. Now she calls me the warrior princess, what up?”
