Reigning NXT North American Champion Myles Borne recently reflected on his stint with WWE and his emotions after winning the singles title earlier this year.

Borne joined WWE in 2022, and his dream of capturing a singles championship in the company was finally fulfilled in February 2026, when he dethroned Ethan Page as NXT North American Champion.

During a conversation with Denise Salcedo, Myles Borne said that he only recently started reflecting on his four-year journey in WWE and agreed with Salcedo that it’s been a whirlwind.

Borne also revealed his feelings after winning the North American Title, stating that he felt a lot of emotions in the moment, given the amount of hard work he had done to reach that position. He also revealed the moment when it really dawned on him what he had achieved.

Below are the highlights:

Myles Borne on his WWE stint thus far

“Honestly, now that you just mentioned it, I didn’t even realize that it’s been that long. It flies by here. I’m having so much fun. I’m living my dream, and every day is new. Everything’s always changing, and that’s what I love. I love the idea of nothing always being the same. I can’t just sit still. So coming here in 2022 and now back seeing it in 2026, I need to take the time to reflect and look back at how far I’ve come. I started doing that recently, especially after I won the North American Championship, and honestly, it’s been amazing. Like you said, it’s a whirlwind, and I just can’t wait to see where this takes me, you know?”

On his emotions after winning the NXT North American Title

“Oh my gosh! That night, as soon as I hit the one-two-three, it was very emotional. I couldn’t… I felt so many different emotions because I had worked so hard all my life. I remember I used to play the video game SmackDown vs. RAW, and I’m sitting in front of my TV on the carpet, and I remember I was like, ‘Ah, these guys are so awesome. I want to do this.’ All my life I was inspired by it. I do the wrestling in the backyard, in the trampoline, and then it hit me, you know, after everything got quiet, the night was over, and after everyone went home, you know, my family was in town, and after they went back to the hotel, I remember sitting there. I actually that same night, went to the garage to train and I just stopped for a second and I said, ‘Holy crap, not only did I achieve my dream of coming to the WWE,’ I said, ‘Myles, you are now the Men’s North American Champion!’ That’s when it hit me.”
