– It was stated on the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio show that tickets are not selling well for the NJPW G1 Climax. The G1 Climax 29 is set to open this year in Dallas, Texas on July 6. Tickets for the event recently went on sale earlier this week.

The Dallas event will be held at the American Airlines Center. According to Meltzer, after the first two days of ticket sales, the event in Dallas has only sold 1,700 tickets, but it’s likely closing in at about 1,800 as of late last night.

Additionally, the London NJPW card, Royal Quest, is reportedly closing in on almost 4,800 tickets sold, with about 4,500 tickets being sold in the pre-sale. According to Dave Meltzer, NJPW was “thrilled” with the ticket sale numbers for London, but they were not happy with the ticket sales for the Dallas show. Meltzer believed the lack of Kenny Omega for the Dallas card hurt the ticket sales for the event in Dallas.
