NJPW Road to Tokyo Dome Results: Tanahashi Wins, Andrade to Wrestle at Tokyo Dome

NJPW held their final show before Wrestle Kingdom 20 today at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. It featured Hiroshi Tanahashi’s last match at the fabled venue, as he defeated Kosei Fujita in the main event.

Also of note was the announcement of one of the United Empire’s mystery competitors in their ten-man tag team match at Wrestle Kingdom 20. Andrade El Idolo appeared in a pre-taped promo during the show and announced he would be joining the team. Andrade last appeared for NJPW in 2015, when he was part of the CMLL roster. Andrade also referred to himself as “La Sombra”, his name before he unmasked prior to signing with WWE.
