Note On How CM Punk & Roman Reigns Were Cast In Zootopia 2

CM Punk and Roman Reigns have voice roles in the upcoming Zootopia 2, and a new report has some details on how that came about. As reported, the two WWE stars voice a pair of zebras in the upcoming Disney animated sequel. The latest Fightful Select Answers Q&A features a question about how they got cast.

According to the report, agent Nick LoPiccolo would call up Disney and pitch ideas for roles in the film. Disney liked the notion of the two stars as the zebras, particularly as a duo.

It goes on to note that Punk initially agreed to the role, with Reigns agreeing a little later. WWE was said to be surprised that Reigns was down with the spot. Reigns wanted to do the role because his kids would like it.

Zootopia 2 is directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard from a script by Bush. It stars the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Ke Huy Quan, Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, and more. It will release on Friday in theaters.
