Note On Speculation Around Character Change For Johnny Gargano

Johnny Gargano has been dealing with hard times on WWE as of late, and a new report collects speculation on a potential character change. Gargano has been seen on WWE TV looking depressed as he is seen laying backstage on equipment crates or sitting on the wooden crate that is set to be opened at WWE Elimination Chamber tomorrow. He has been resistint attempts by Candice LeRae to pull him out of his funk.

Speculation on a potential tweak of Gargano’s character gained momentum when the WWE Music YouTube account posted Gargano’s “Comin Back For You” theme music from his solo heel run. WrestlingNews.co reports that a character tweak for Gargano may be on the way.

Gargano was previously in a heel role as he was on a quest to prove that Axiom was “evil” after stealing the Fraxiom member’s mask and framing him for incidents. Gargano has been on his own since Tommaso Ciampa left WWE and made his debut for AEW on the January 28th episode of Dynamite.

Gargano is not currently advertised for tonight’s Smackdown which takes place from the Amerant Bank Arena in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The show airs live on USA Network in the US and Netflix internationally. 411 will have live coverage of tonight’s show.
