Paige Announces In-Ring Retirement on Raw
– Paige’s in-ring career has officially come to an end. The Raw star announced on Monday’s episode that she is retiring from the ring due to the injuries that she has suffered to her neck that has kept her sidelined for the better part of two years. You can see a video and some pics of the segment below.
It was first reported in mid-January that Paige would be forced to retire due to the re-emergence of her neck issues following a late December live event match when she took a bump to her back. She was pulled from the Royal Rumble and has stayed out of the ring since, instead serving as a mouthpiece for Absolution.
Paige debuted for WWE’s main roster on the April 7th, 2014 episode of Raw where she defeated AJ Lee to win the Divas Championship.
