WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta and former AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo are on a collision course.
The main event of Rey de Reyes Week Three saw an epic war of words between Vikingo and Penta. Vikingo, accompanied by Omos and Dorian Roldan, came out first and berated the wrestler formerly known as Mini Vikingo and the crowd for not giving him the respect he deserved.
Vikingo then set his sights on Penta, declaring that he’d go after the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 42 and calling Cero Miedo out in the process.
Penta came out to a huge ovation. The RAW Superstar made fun of Vikingo’s pronunciation and claimed that nobody in AAA would miss the latter if he went to WWE. He got into Vikingo’s face, prompting Omos to step in between them.
Penta took a major shot at the former AAA Mega Champion, claiming that not even his mother respects him and that he looks dumb in his “baptism suit.”
The IC Champion threatened to bust Vikingo open and said that if he wants the match, then he got it. He then shoved Vikingo and held his belt up in Omos’ face.
The championship bout has been made official for the April 11 episode of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. This will be the first time in AAA’s history that the WWE Intercontinental Championship will be defended in the company. Penta announced the same during Rey de Reyes Week One.
