Revolution Pro Wrestling Announces Return To Live Events

Revolution Pro Wrestling out of the UK have announced their tentative plans for a return to live events in 2021.

In a YouTube Q&A, Rev Pro owner Andy Quildan revealed that the promotion is looking to return with a 22-date “Back to Business Tour”.

Provisional dates include:

June 3 – Portsmouth Guildhall
June 27 – Marble Factory, Bristol
July 4 – Cockpit Theatre, London (and first Sunday of every month)
July 24 – Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage
July 31 – Commemoration Hall, Huntingdon
August 8 – The 1865, Southampton
August 21 – Victoria Warehouse, Manchester
September 4 – Trafalgar Warehouse, Sheffield
September 19 – York Hall, London (High Stakes)
September 26 – Priory Centre, St. Neots
October 10 – The 1865, Southampton
October 25 – Portsmouth Guildhall
November 6 – Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage
November 20 – Commemoration Hall, Huntingdon
November 21 – York Hall, London (Uprising)
December 12 – The 1865, Southampton
December 27 – Priory Centre, St. Neots

Tickets go on pre-sale next Friday March 5 at 9am (GMT). The shows will initially be sold at a limited capacity, with social distancing measures and seating plans in place. All existing ticket holders will be contacted in the next week with further details on transferring or refunding tickets.

It was also mentioned that the Cockpit Theatre in Marylebone, London – host of the promotion’s monthly Live at the Cockpit shows – will only having shows running if they are able to run the venue at full capacity from July 2021. Should restrictions remain, then they’d not be running that venue.

Quildan also mentioned that lateral-flow coronavirus tests would be given to wrestlers and staff at these shows, while Rev Pro is also going to be working with the Equity union to address, among others, the issues raised during the Speaking Out movement. They also confirmed that going forward, Rev Pro will only be going organised meet and greets at shows – but at this point none are being organised.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had announced earlier this week that he was looking to remove all Coronavirus-related restrictions on England no sooner than June 21, 2021, with indoor performances being allowed at a reduced capacity no earlier than May 17.

Having not run in front of fans since March 8, 2020, and being forced to postpone the scheduled Epic Encounter show from May 2020 due to the worldwide pandemic, Rev Pro has since taped and broadcast eight “Epic Encounters” specials from the – with the early shows being sold via Fite.tv, and recently being made available for free via Twitch and YouTube.
