Ricky Saints Reflects On Friendship With Cody Rhodes: ‘To Me, He’s Just Cody’

Ricky Saints has long been friends with Cody Rhodes, and he reflected on their relationship in a recent interview. Saints appeared on Good Karma Wrestling promoting NXT No Mercy this weekend, and curing the appearance he was asked how much he talks about his friendship with the Undisputed WWE Champion.

“Not a lot, actually,” Saints said (per Fightful). “He’s a really good dude, great dude. He has helped me out tremendously in wrestling, outside of wrestling, with my family. My family loves him. I love his family.”

He continued, “To me, he’s just Cody. I don’t think of him as ‘WWE Champion.’ That’s just my man right there. He’s doing it. He’s doing his damn thing.”

Saints will battle Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at No Mercy on Saturday, which airs live on Peacock and Netflix internationally.
