Ricochet Retains AEW National Championship Against Ace Austin On Collision
AEW National Champion Ricochet secured his second successful title defense on tonight’s Collision.
The One and Only defeated Ace Austin of the Bang Bang Gang to retain his gold.
During the match, Ricochet tried to get himself disqualified. However, he did that just to distract the match official, allowing Gates of Agony to take out Austin.
Ricochet eventually hit the challenger with a Lariat and followed it up with Vertigo to secure the victory. After the match, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler launched an attack on Austin. However, Bang Bang Gang came to his rescue.
For those unaware, Ricochet became the inaugural AEW National Champion at Full Gear by winning a 12-man Casino Gauntlet Match. He had his first defense against Dalton Castle at ROH Final Battle on December 5.
