The nWo and D-Generation X are often compared as the iconic stables of the Attitude Era, and Road Dogg recently weighed in on those comparisons. The WWE Hall of Famer was asked by Chris Van Vliet on the latter’s recent podcast episode about the comparisons between the two and said he understood them, while explaining what he thought DX did better than their WCW counterparts.

“I get the comparison,” he said (per Wrestling Inc). “I think they came at the same time. I just think one of them — look, to me, and of course I’m biased ’cause I was in one, I just thought [DX was] kind of cool because we were distinct, and that was us.”

He continued on, saying, “I felt like they added people every chance they got split into different [subgroups]. I liked it when it was just Hogan and the Outsiders, you know what I mean? … I just felt like [the nWo] got kind of bastardized.”

The two groups were formed in their respective companies within a year of each other, with the nWo forming in 1996 and DX coming along the next year. Both groups have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
