Saraya Posts New Training Video: ‘Just Getting Ring Rust Off’

Saraya hasn’t competed in a match since October of 2024, but she posted a video on Thursday hinting that she may be thinking about doing so. The AEW and WWE alumna posted the video to her Twitter account yesterday in which she got some training done with GCW regular Vipress.

You can see the video below, which features Vipress running the ropes. She ducks under a swing by Saraya and comes off the ropes to catch herself between the top and middle rope, only to get a kick to the head by Saraya. The latter wrote in the post:

“Oh you know.. just getting some ring rust off with my girl @_VIPRESS”

Saraya’s last match came on the October 8th, 2024 “Title Tuesday” episode of AEW Dynamite. She battled in a #1 contenders match for the AEW Women’s World Championship against Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter, and Nyla Rose. Nightingale picked up the win.

Saraya announced last May that she had exited AEW in a mutual and amicable decision. She has spoken fondly of her time in AEW and noted in an interview in December with Daria Berenato (now in TNA as Daria Rae) of her time in AEW, “I wish I tried a little bit harder. I wasn’t really giving it my all, and I kind of got more lazy, and I kind of regret it.”

No word on if or when Saraya may make her return to the ring.
