Tiffany Stratton Interrupts Becky Lynch Backstage at WWE Payback (Video)

– As previously noted, Becky Lynch was victorious at tonight’s WWE Payback, beating Trish Stratus in their Cage Match. After the match was over, NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton made an appearance during the premium live event, interrupting Lynch’s backstage, post-match interview.

Stratton planted the seeds for this confrontation at WWE NXT Heatwave when she said she would be a better NXT Women’s Champion than Lynch despite “The Man” having never held the title. Lynch later tweeted after the event, “I haven’t been NXT Women’s Champion…yet. #NXTHeatwave”

During Payback, Stratton condescendingly apologized to Lynch for calling her a “former” NXT Women’s Champion. Lynch said that Stratton should be focusing on defending her title next week on NXT TV. Tiffany Stratton is scheduled to defend her title against Kiana James this Tuesday. Lynch also added, “Maybe I’ll see you soon.” You can see a video of the confrontation below:
